摘要:
Modular staircases and staircase assemblies comprising components with notches that fit into and interweave with each other. Certain embodiments of modular staircases have at least two webs, wherein the perimeter of each web resembles a staircase with steps. The webs may be coupled together by a plurality of cross-beams. Each of the webs and the cross-beams may have notches that fit into and interweave with each other to form the basic structure of a staircase. The staircase may also be provided with cover pieces to cover the exposed webs and cross beams, and thus, to provide a surface for a user to sit or step on. Embodiments described herein are modular, in that they may be coupled together in various configurations and thus coupled to straight walls, curved walls, or any combination thereof. Additionally, embodiments described herein may be installed in either vinyl liner-type pools or concrete pools.

An absorbent composite has at least one first region and at least one second region. The first region includes an elastomeric polymer at a first concentration and at least one absorbent material, such as superabsorbent material, and the second region includes an elastomeric polymer at a second concentration. The absorbent composite can provide improved attachment within an absorbent article, such as a stretchable absorbent article, even after fluid loading, while maintaining suitable absorbent properties.
摘要:
An absorbent composite has a low capacity region and a high capacity region in planar relationship to the low capacity region, where the high capacity region comprises between 1% and 10% by weight elastomeric polymer fibers and between 60% and 98% by weight superabsorbent material with respect to that region, and where the low capacity region comprises at least 10% by weight elastomeric polymer fibers and less than 10% by weight superabsorbent material. In some embodiments, the absorbent composite can further comprise additional regions. The regions are substantially joined by intermingling of the elastomeric polymer fibers between the regions, to form a generally unitary, stratified absorbent composite. The absorbent composite can be utilized in an absorbent article, the result of which is an absorbent article that exhibits improved performance as well as greater comfort and confidence among the user.

An in-line formed web or other material (such as foams) having major surfaces in the X-Y plane and a depth in the Z direction is suitable for use as an integral fluid distribution and fluid retention material in a disposable absorbent article. The web or material contains multiple zones of material which may have both thermoplastic fibers/materials and absorbent material components. The multiple zones can have different compositions of thermoplastic fibers/materials and absorbent material as applied in-line by various arrangements of thermoplastic melt dies and absorbent fiber/material dispensers. By arranging at least two of the multiple zones in an opposing relation overlaid in the Z-axis direction of the web/material, a gradient can be formed in the Z-direction of the web/material. In the case of airforming, by coordinating the timing and deposition of the material onto a forming wire, at least one of the multiple zones is arranged to have intermittent material deposition in at least one of a machine direction or a cross direction of the web. Thus the in-line formed integrated web has a Z-direction gradient of air laid material zones and zones of different materials intermittently placed in one of the machine direction or the cross direction and may be customized according to the specific need for a single overall structure having fluid intake, distribution and retention properties in an absorbent article.
