摘要: The present invention is directed to articles of manufacture, including fibers and films, and methods of making thereof. In accordance with the present invention, the article includes a binder impregnated with or encapsulating a filler. The binder is a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH), cellulose nanofibrils, or a combination of the PVOH and cellulose nanofibrils. The filler is deinking waste solids comprising ash and cellulose fines.

摘要: The present invention is directed to an article of manufacture, which can be a fiber and or a film. In one aspect, the fiber or the film comprises a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) and an inorganic filler comprising particles having an average diameter of less than about 20 micrometers. The PVOH has a degree of hydrolysis of greater than about 95% and is present in a range between about 20 wt. % and about 99 wt. % based on the total fiber weight. Methods of making the fibers and films are also disclosed.

摘要: Some example product dispensers that accommodate two full paper towel rolls are provided herein. The product dispenser may employ separate dispensing mechanisms for each product roll and may include roll holders that articulate out from the housing to facilitate easy loading and access to replacement and loading of the other product roll. A roll partition may be utilized to separate the web paths of the two product rolls and enable rotation of front roll holders. Example funnel covers and nip covers can aid with intuitive installation. Example roll holders with retention mechanisms help prevent unintentional dropping of the installed product roll. Other beneficial features include utilizing motor operation sensing to dispense a desired sheet length, automatic/assisted loading into the dispensing mechanism, automatic switching between dispensing of product rolls, and always dispensing from the smaller product roll first. Many other features/structures of example product dispensers are also described herein.

摘要: A method of producing a paper product. A paper web is formed on a paper machine. The paper web has a plurality of sections. The web is analyzed to perform at least one of inspecting and identifying properties. The web is marked with a plurality of marks. At least one mark is marked at each of the plurality of sections. Thereafter, the web is wound with a winder to form a parent roll. A paper rating is assigned to each section based upon properties in that section that are identified. The web is unwound from the parent roll on a converting line having a plurality of operational parameters. At least one of the plurality of marks is read with a mark reading unit. The paper rating associated with the at least one mark is obtained. At least one operational parameter of the converting line is changed based upon the rating.

The low impedance path is also connected to a surface contact spring which is adapted to contact an external mounting surface when the dispenser is affixed thereto. Static electrical charge accumulated on the elements is discharged through the low impedance path and the surface contact spring to the external mounting surface.

摘要: A ply-bonding agent or adhesive composition characterized by a viscosity and a surface tension for the manufacture of paper tissue and paper towel, includes: (a) water; (b) nanofibrillated cellulose; and (c) one or more modifiers effective to modify either or both of (i) the viscosity of the composition or (ii) the surface tension of the composition, wherein the one or more additional modifiers are selected from the group consisting of components (iii), (iv), (v), (vi), (vii) or (viii), wherein: (iii) is PVOH and a viscosity modifier; (iv) is a viscosity modifier; (v) is a viscosity modifier and a surface tension modifier other than PVOH; (vi) is a water-soluble cellulose derivative; (vii) is a water soluble polyol; and (viii) is a surface tension modifier other than PVOH. The compositions are particularly useful for ply-bonding multi-ply absorbent sheet when the plies are treated with debonder.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a sheet product dispenser for dispensing individual sheets from a roll of perforated sheet product. The sheet product dispenser may include a housing, a roll support disposed within the housing and configured to rotatably support the roll of perforated sheet product, and a mechanical dispensing mechanism disposed within the housing and configured to guide and advance the sheet product during a dispense cycle, wherein the mechanical dispensing mechanism is further configured to mechanically synchronize the dispense cycle with perforation lines of the sheet product. The present disclosure also provides a sheet product dispenser for dispensing individual sheets from a roll of sheet product that may be non-perforated.
