摘要: A pattern is imprinted into a substrate. The pattern has a number of raised regions and a number of trenches such that the raised regions are separated from one another by the trenches. The raised regions correspond to electrically isolated conductive traces to be formed on the substrate. At least an angle of deposition relative to the substrate at which an electrically conductive material is to be deposited on the substrate to form the electrically isolated conductive traces on the raised regions is determined. The angle of deposition is sufficient to ensure that adjacent raised regions remain electrically isolated. The electrically conductive material is deposited at no more than the angle of deposition relative to the substrate to form the electrically isolated conductive traces.

摘要: A projection screen for receiving projector light from a projector facing direction includes a substrate having a plurality of features. Each of the features includes a reflective surface oriented to the projector facing direction. Each of the reflective surfaces is curved in a first direction to provide a desired horizontal viewing angle, and is curved in a second direction to provide a desired vertical viewing angle.

摘要: In one embodiment, a fluid flow channel includes a first part and a second part connected to and positioned downstream from the first part such that fluid can flow from the first part to the second part. The first part has opposing sidewalls, a floor extending between the sidewalls, and a ceiling extending between the sidewalls. The ceiling of the first part slopes upward in an upstream direction or the sidewalls taper in toward one another in a downstream direction, or both. The second part has opposing sidewalls and a ceiling extending between the sidewalls. The ceiling of the second part slopes upward in an upstream direction.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention comprise capillary fluid transport and containment structures in which a capillarity gradient is provided in a direction other than the primary direction of fluid transport to selectively capture and transport gas bubbles. The structures may be formed with single capillary members or may include a plurality of capillaries, such as sheet capillaries joined by appropriately sized through-holes.

摘要: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with fluid-jet dispensers are described. In one embodiment, a method (400) controls a fluid jet dispenser. The fluid jet dispenser includes a plurality of nozzles for precisely ejecting fluid and a plurality of ejection chambers. The fluid-jet dispenser includes one or more fluid channels for supplying fluid from a fluid reservoir to the plurality of ejection chambers and corresponding nozzles. The method includes detecting (405) that the fluid-jet dispenser has not ejected fluid for a predetermined time. The method applies a de-prime pressure (410). The de-prime pressure is a negative pressure to withdraw fluid from the nozzles and the ejection chambers to a high capillary force area within each of the one or more fluid channels to remove fluid from the plurality of nozzles.
