摘要: A device for supplying a chemical reactant into the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, comprising: a mixer housing; a metering pipe passing through the mixer housing, towards which the exhaust flow flowing into the mixer housing flows in a transverse direction, and having a first end and a second end; a metering unit arranged at the first end of the metering pipe and connected to a reactant supply for discharging reactant into the metering pipe; and means for generating a swirl flow of the exhaust flow within the metering pipe. The metering pipe has at least one inflow opening extending over a casing surface segment of no less than 45° in the circumferential direction and extending over at least one section of the length of the metering pipe, said inflow opening having a shovel-like hood arranged on the metering pipe and directing the exhaust flow eccentrically into the inflow opening.

摘要: An electrical heating unit H for introduction into the exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine, in particular upstream with respect to an exhaust gas purification unit, for instance a catalytic converter, which for its operation requires a temperature higher than the ambient temperature, comprises a casing (13) and at least one resistance heating element (14) which is designed as a band and is retained inside the casing (13), wherein the at least one heating band (14) is arranged so that it runs in a meandering pattern and with its flat face parallel or substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the casing (13). The heating unit H also comprises at least one support structure (19, 19.1) which is arranged on the end face relative to the heating band (14) and mechanically connected to the casing (13) and has slot-shaped heating band bearings (27) to retain the heating band (14) inside the casing (13), into which slot-shaped heating band bearings (27) the heating band (14) engages by an edge portion and via which support structure (19) the heating band (14) is electrically insulated from the casing (13).

摘要: The invention relates to a particulate filter (1) designed as a partial filter, particularly as a soot particulate filter for removing soot particles from the exhaust gas flow of an internal combustion engine, said filter comprising a filter block unit (3) that is held in a filter housing (2), is designed as a channel filter and comprises a plurality of parallel channels (6, 6.1) which are separated from one another by filter walls (7). The filter block unit (3) comprises at least two filter blocks (5, 5.1) connected one behind the other in the direction of the exhaust gas flow. Each filter block (5, 5.1) is designed as a partial filter, with a first plurality of the channels of each filter block (5, 5.1) being open on the outflow side, and a further plurality thereof being closed on said outflow side.
