摘要： A service provider registers information of some documents, including an identifier of each document and a bibliographic item constituting the document content, in a storage section in a database section and determines classifications to which these documents should belong to further register identifiers of these documents to the classification items in the storage section. A calculation section calculates a distinction quantity of each classification item by consulting the bibliographic item of the classified document in the database section. Another calculation section calculates a distinction quantity of an unclassified document in the database section, and a decision section determines and classifies a classification item to which the unclassified document should belong based on a result of the calculation and the distinction quantity of each classification item. A collection section periodically collects a new document or an updated document from the network environment, and a classification information extraction section registers classification in the database in accordance with the classification item specification written in the document.

摘要： A window display control apparatus in a window system includes a display control unit for controlling display processing of a window, and an application unit for issuing a frame display operation command. The display control unit stores a display control attribute table where a display control attribute indicative of a kind of display processing and an attribute value specified for each display control attribute are defined. The display control unit selects a display control attribute and an attribute value from the display control attribute table based on a screen display operation command issued from the application unit, and generates a display processing sequence indicative of a display processing procedure based on the selected attribute value, while executing frame display processing on a display unit in accordance with the generated display processing sequence. The application unit issues a display operation command which designates a kind of a display control attribute in response to a display processing request.

Decision means decides whether or not the video data read out from accumulating means are virtual data. If the video data are not virtual data, unprocessed video data are supplied. If the video data are virtual data, calculating means is actuated. The calculating means processes the reference data as indicated by the constraint section of the virtual data. As a result of the processing, index data are obtained. These index data are supplied as video data.
