A process for preparing trisubstituted ureas is disclosed. A nitroarene is reacted with carbon monoxide and a secondary amine in the presence of a Group VIII transition metal catalyst and optionally one or more promoters selected from primary amines, halide ion-containing compounds, and chelating phosphorus and nitrogen compounds.
摘要:
A process for recovering both an amine and a volatile acid from an amine salt is disclosed. In the process, the amine salt is reacted with a non-volatile acid to liberate the volatile acid. Thermal decomposition of the resulting amine/non-volatile acid salt liberates the amine.

Discrete, non-agglomerating particles of polyalkylene carbonate are produced by solvent/non-solvent precipitation using certain solvent/non-solvent systems. The free-flowing particles obtained are from 30 to 3000 microns in diameter and are suitable for use in a variety of applications, particularly the preparation of foamed articles.
摘要:
An improved process is provided for the preparation of aromatic mono- and poly-isocyanates by the thermal decomposition of an aromatic bis dialkyl urea in solvent in the presence of an organic sulfonic acid or sulfonated aromatic ion exchange resin as a promoter for conversion of the urea groups to isocyanates.
摘要:
An improved process is provided for the preparation of methylene diphenylene diisocyanates (MDI) and polymethylene polyphenylene poly (diisocyanates) by the thermal decomposition of a methylene diphenylene bis (dialkylurea) or a polymethylene polyphenylene poly (dialkylurea) in a solvent in the presence of a tertiary amine hydrohalide, such as pyridine hydrochloride, as a promoter for conversion of the urea groups to the corresponding isocyanate.
摘要:
Copolymers or terpolymers of carbon dioxide and at least one epoxide are found to be useful in formulations for adhesive compositions. Polarity due to the carbonate group and non-polarity due to the alkylene groups in the resulting polyalkylene carbonates makes it possible to adhere a large number of different surfaces such as steel, aluminum, fluoropolymers, and polyesters to themselves or to each other.
摘要:
Expandable styrene polymer particles which have anti-static and anti-lumping properties during expansion and after molding into an article are produced by adding 0.1 to 0.4 parts of dialkyl bisalkoxylated quaternary ammonium salts per 100 parts of polymer particles by coating of the expandable polymer particles with the salts. The salts may be added as sole antistatic agent or in addition to the known internal additives which impart fastcool and antilump properties.
摘要:
A process for producing unsaturated methyl nonadienoate and methyl nonatrienoate monesters useful as precursors for pelargonic acid which comprises contacting, in a reaction inert medium, butadiene and methyl-2,4-pentadienoate in a molar ratio of 2:1 to 10:1 at a temperature of 40.degree. to 120.degree. C. under an inert atmosphere and in the presence of a catalytic amount of a homogeneous palladium (II) complex of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is alkyl, chloroalkyl, bromoalkyl or fluoroalkyl having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or aryl having 6 to 12 carbon atoms; Q is phosphorous or arsenic and R' is alkyl, aminoalkyl or alkoxy having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or aryl or aryloxy having 6 to 12 carbon atoms. The foregoing precursors may subsequently be hydrogenated to methyl pelargonate (methyl nonanoate) and pelargonic acid may then be obtained by acid-catalyzed hydrolysis of methyl pelargonate.
