摘要： A retainer of synthetic resin is provided in such a way that abnormal heat generation in a bearing and wear of the retainer due to interference between the retainer and balls are less likely to arise while the bearing is rotating at a high speed. A retainer (5) of synthetic resin includes two annular members (10) made of synthetic resin and facing each other in the axial direction, the annular members defining therebetween a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart pockets (11) in which respective balls (4) are received. Concave spherical surfaces (23) are formed at the circumferential ends of the respective pockets (11) so as to extend along the outer peripheries of the balls (4), and cylindrical surfaces (22) are formed at the axial ends of the respective pockets (11).

摘要： Each of an outer ring, an inner ring, and a ball is a rolling contact member formed of a β-sialon sintered body inexpensive, capable of reliably ensuring sufficient durability, and capable of being used in an application where an imposed load is changed abruptly. The sintered body contains as a main component β-sialon represented by a compositional formula of Si6-ZAlZOZN8-Z and satisfying 0.1≦z≦3.5, and has a remainder formed of an impurity. The rolling contact member has a Young's modulus of 180 GPa or greater but 270 GPa or smaller.

摘要： An improved magnetic recording medium is disclosed, particularly a magnetic tape suitable for sound recording and video recording, which comprises as a recording element a mixture of cobalt-containing iron oxide magnetic particles consisting essentially of ferromagnetic iron oxide particles containing cobalt and optionally a divalent iron in the most outer layer thereof, and .gamma.-ferric oxide particles in the ratio of 10:90 to 50:50 by weight, said mixture of cobalt-containing iron oxide magnetic particles and .gamma.-ferric oxide particles being applied to a substrate (e.g. a polyester film) with a binding agent. The magnetic recording medium has excellent electromagnetic transducing properties and improved charging properties and is useful for conventional magnetic recording apparatus used at normal position with high sensitivity in wide range of frequency.

摘要： In a contact type seal arrangement for a rolling bearing, it is aimed to reduce torque and improve sealability by improving the lip structure of each seal member.Each seal member 11 has a branch portion 15 at substantially the same height as the land 3 of the inner ring. A main lip 16 is defined by its portion extending radially inwardly from the branch portion 15. The tip of the main lip 16 is brought into contact with the outer groove wall 21 of the seal groove 4 to define a contact seal 25. An auxiliary lip 17 is defined by a portion extending axially inwardly from the branch portion 15. A labyrinth seal 19 is defined between the tip of the auxiliary lip 17 and the inner groove wall 18 of the seal groove 4.
