摘要: Even when all of usable sessions are in use, a communication can be established for a new session and the interrupted session is automatically restored. Information on degrees of importance of communication sessions and information of restoration requirement are set in advance and stored in a session importance table in association with identifier (URI) of communication initiating terminals and identifier of destinations of communication. When a connection request for a session having a high degree of importance such as an emergency session is received, the session having the lowest degree of importance is selected and interrupted. Information of the interrupted session such as the communication initiator identifier and the communication destination identifier is stored in a session restoration table. The session is automatically restored as soon as a session resource becomes unoccupied according to the communication initiator identifier and the communication destination identifier stored in the session restoration table.

摘要: A failure detection protocol is applied so that failure detection requests for the same aggregated link can be processed even when the failure detection requests differ among routing protocols. The failure detection protocol is executed for each of the physical links that form an aggregated link, and a notification is sent to a higher-level application (for example, a routing protocol), which is a requesting source of a communication line failure monitoring request, with a discrimination between a case in which the communication of the aggregated link in its entirety fails and a case in which some physical links of the aggregated link fail.

摘要: A home presence server has a storage area in which a SIP URI (hereinafter URI) of a call destination and a URI of a transfer destination are correspondingly stored. When a SIP server in a network receives a call-out request containing the URI of a first terminal being a call origination source and the URI of a second terminal being the call destination, it transfers the request to the home presence server. The home presence server acquires the URI of the transfer destination corresponding to the URI of the second terminal from the storage area, and transmits acquired URI to the SIP server. The SIP server transmits a call-out request containing the URI of the first terminal being the call origination source and the URI of a third terminal being the transfer destination, to the first terminal through a network, and the first terminal communicates with the third terminal.

摘要: Disclosed is a packet communication apparatus of large capacity capable of realizing high throughput and packet priority control in packet switching for changing connection of input and output ports of a switch on a variable-length packet unit basis. A variable-length packet is divided into a group of cells in an ingress interface, and the cells are stored in VOQs divided in correspondence with destination output ports of a switch. For each of the VOQs, a corresponding first-cell storing register is provided. When a packet arrives at the head of the VOQ, the first cell indicating an output path of the packet is transferred to a first-cell storing register. Each ingress interface selects one of first cells of packets which can be output and transmits the selected one to the switch. The switch performs a scheduling process so as to select one first cell per output port. The ingress interface to which output permission is given by the scheduling process is connected to a desired output port, and continuously outputs the first cell and the subsequent cells stored in the VOQs to the output port on a packet unit basis.
