Abstract: A sheet cutting device includes a stage including a placement surface on which a to-be-cut sheet is placed; a strip-shaped fixed blade that is provided in one end portion of the stage; a movable blade that works together with the fixed blade to cut the sheet placed on the placement surface of the stage gradually from one end portion of the sheet to a different one end portion; and a support section that is located between the one end of the fixed blade and the other end in such a way as to be closer to a vertically downward side than the fixed blade and be closer to a vertically upward side than a bottom surface of a waste box placed closer to the vertically downward side than the fixed blade, to temporarily support part of a remnant generated after cutting by the fixed and movable blades.

Abstract: A cooling system includes a cooling circuit that has a circulation pump circulating a coolant containing antifreeze solution and cools down, by means of the coolant, a power element mounted in a power converter for an on-vehicle rotary electric machine; a control signal calculation unit that calculates heat quantity generated by the power element; a power element temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the power element; and a coolant temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the coolant. The control signal calculation unit calculates, on the basis of the heat quantity, the temperature of the power element, and the coolant temperature, power element cooling performance that is the amount of heat transferred from the power element to the coolant per unit temperature difference, and lowers the driving power of the circulation pump when the calculated power element cooling performance is greater than a predetermined criterion.

Abstract: A centrifugal blood pump apparatus includes a plurality of permanent magnets (17) in an impeller (10) in a blood chamber (7), a plurality of coils (20) in a motor chamber (8), and a magnetic element (18) in each of the coils (20). The magnetic elements (18) are made shorter than the coils (20) to lower attractive force between the magnetic elements (18) and the permanent magnets (17) in the impeller (10), to set a large gap between the magnetic elements (18) and the permanent magnets (17). As a result, axial attractive force and negative rigidity can be lowered while required torque is satisfied.
