    摘要: Disclosed herein are a discharge device of an image forming apparatus, an image forming apparatus having the same, and a control method thereof, which prevents jamming or loading defects of paper to be discharged. To this end, a press force adjusting device is provided to adjust a press position of an elastic press member upward or downward. The press force adjusting device includes a press plate to support the elastic press member and a height adjustor to adjust a height of the press plate. The height adjustor adjusts the height of the press plate via rotation of a cam body having an eccentric rotation center. The height adjustment enables adjustment in the curling degree of paper depending on a paper thickness or environment conditions.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus feeds a paper picked up by a pickup roller directly to a photoconductive drum and controls a linear velocity of the pickup roller so that it is slower than that of the photoconductive drum. The different linear velocities of the pickup roller and the photoconductive drum produces different velocities at the transfer nip (the area of contact between the photoconductive drum and a transferring roller) and the point where paper is picked up by the pickup roller. To compensate for the different velocities, the pickup roller can be rotated faster than the photoconductive drum for an angle that corresponds to the velocity difference. Additionally, when a velocity difference occurs between two rollers for feeding the paper, one of the rollers can be further rotated to compensate for the velocity difference.
