The front light unit has a transparent electrode, an organic EL layer and a patterned non-transparent electrode. The non-transparent electrode has a mesh structure for defining light emission areas and transparent areas of the organic EL layer, which are arranged alternately. The light emitted by the light emission areas irradiate the LCD unit. The light reflected by reflective members of the LCD unit passes through the transparent areas of the organic EL layer and reaches to the viewer.

    摘要: An image input device has a optical guide plate exposed to a window of a photo-shield case, a pair of light emitting diodes attached to side surfaces of the optical guide plate for radiating light into it, an area image sensor provided under the optical guide plate, a gradient index lens unit provided between the optical guide plate and the area image sensor and a filter connected to the area image sensor for eliminating a low frequency component from an image carrying signal; when a person presses a finger on the optical guide plate, the fingerprint scatters the light toward the gradient index lens unit, and the area image sensor produces the image carrying signal from the incident light; the reflection on valley lines is gradually varied along the width of the finger, and the elimination of the low frequency component makes the contrast of the image clear.

    摘要: In an image sensor apparatus, a light emitting section is composed of a plurality of light emitting elements provided in a longitudinal direction of said image sensor apparatus. An optical section has an uneven structure, and changes the direction of light such that the light emerges from the optical section in a substantially parallel manner and converges to a linear region along the longitudinal direction. Here, the uneven structure includes a plurality of convex or concave portions, and a length of each of the plurality of convex or concave portions of the uneven structure in the longitudinal direction is smaller than a separation between adjacent two of the plurality of light emitting elements. An image sensor section transmits the converged light to a manuscript and for sensing a light reflected from the manuscript.

    摘要: The present invention intends to provide a method for liveliness detection and fitness measurement using information optically extracted from a fingertip. For liveliness detection, the present method examines the change in a color index of a finger at its touching portion measured while the finger is being pressed onto an inspection surface and while the finger is released from the same surface. If the change is equal to or larger than a predetermined value, the finger is regarded as a live finger. For fitness measurement, an index indicative of the stiffness of the blood vessel of the finger is obtained from the change in the color index of the finger at its touching portion against the change in the contact area of the finger while the finger is being pressed onto the inspection surface.

    摘要: A color image sensor sequentially acquires a plurality of fingerprint images when a finger is pressed against the detector surface. A color information extraction unit detects the finger color in synchronization with the input of the plurality of fingerprint images. An areal information extraction unit detects a physical quantity representing the pressure applied by the finger to the color image sensor when the plurality of fingerprint images are acquired, particularly, the quantity related with the area of the finger in contact with the detector surface. A living body identification unit determines whether the finger is a live or dead one by the analysis of correlation between the physical quantity and the finger color. According to this configuration, even if the finger color does not change much, it is possible to distinguish living bodies from dead ones if there is a sufficient correlation with information such as the area of the fingerprint that reflects the finger pressure. The thickness of the fingerprint input unit is approximately 1–2 mm, determined by the sum of the thickness of the planar light source and that of the color image sensor.
