Abstract:
A system and method translating information of a source policy configuration into a universal data type useable with a target policy configuration. The disclosed system and method provide comprehensive and highly automated translation of security policies and configurations into a normalized format, thereby enabling management and transformation of information across various types of technologies. Normalized data format is utilized to output data into different formats or data types.
Abstract:
An endoluminal prosthesis comprises a prosthetic trunk comprising a trunk lumen extending therethrough, a wall, an anastomosis in the wall, and a first fenestration in the wall, wherein the prosthetic trunk has a circumference. The endoluminal prosthesis further comprises a prosthetic branch comprising a branch lumen extending therethrough. The branch lumen is in fluid communication with the trunk lumen through the anastomosis. The prosthetic branch is disposed longitudinally along and circumferentially about the prosthetic trunk.
Abstract:
A tire pressure and temperature measurement system adapts a Y-block (30) to an existing valve stem (20). One branch (44) of the Y-block accepts a conventional valve core (42) and another branch (38) accepts a flexible tubular temperature sensor (36) that leads "down the throat" of the existing valve stem and into the interior of a tire (14, 18). Another embodiment is adapted for use on inside dual tires (18). Making a measurement entails attaching a pressure sensor (40) to the valve stem and attaching a hand-held processor (112) to the sensors. The hand-held processor reads the current tire pressure and temperature; executes a program (Eqs. 1-6) that accounts for measured and target temperatures, vapor pressures, and gas compressibility; and indicates how much pressure to add or subtract to the tire to achieve an accurate final tire operating pressure. In yet another embodiment, a spherical protective housing (70) enclosing pressure and temperature sensors (72), a controller 76, and a data transceiver (74) is loosely placed within the interior of a tire when it is mounted to a rim. A remote measurement system (80) receives at another data transceiver (108) pressure and temperature data transmitted from inside the tire while the vehicle is moving and conveys the data to a processor (112) for executing the above-described program.
Abstract:
A safety device for vehicles for preventing accidental driving off with the vehicle from a fuel pump without first removing a fuel dispensing nozzle from the tank of the vehicle. When the fuel dispensing nozzle is in the spout of the tank, a solenoid valve is activated to disengage the ignition system and/or illuminate alarm lights and audible signals.
Abstract:
A method of coating articles comprises providing a plurality of coating dispensing devices at each station in a coating material application line, each device being connected to a common source of coating material. Coating material is dispensed fron only one device while measuring the flow rate of coating material therethrough. When the measured flow rate falls below a predetermined threshold, flow through the device is automatically terminated and switched to another device. Apparatus for practicing the method includes a plurality of dispensing devices connected to a common coating source through respective flow rate sensors. A programmable logic control station connected to the sensors and the devices is used to control the operation of the dispensing devices.
Abstract:
An endoluminal prosthesis comprises a prosthetic trunk having a trunk lumen and a trunk wall, a first prosthetic branch having a first branch lumen and a branch wall, and a second prosthetic branch having a second branch lumen. The first branch lumen and the second branch lumen are both in fluid communication with the trunk lumen through the trunk wall and the second branch lumen is in fluid communication with the first branch lumen through the branch wall. Additional devices, systems, and methods are disclosed.
Abstract:
A valve assembly for use in a fuel dispensing system is provided. More particularly, a valve assembly is provided having a body defining a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, with a channel extending therebetween for a flow of fluid. The valve assembly also includes a test port extending from the valve body and defining a downstream end. The test port is in fluid communication with the channel of the valve body. Additionally, a test port valve is included positioned upstream from the downstream end of the test port.
Abstract:
A process for producing reinforced laminate plastic panel structures by thermoplastic compression employing internal mold mandrels which are significantly embrittled during or subsequent to the compression step. Hat stiffened panels formed from two thermoplastic resin sheets may be produced by using elongated mandrels formed of ceramic particulate material adhered together by a binder such as an alkali metal silicate. The mandrels are arranged between a skin sheet and hat stiffener sheets with the respective sheets disposed between the platens of a hydraulic press or other suitable compression molding mechanism. Sandwich laminate structures can be formed employing free thermoplastic resin sheets with a first set of ceramic particulate mandrels interposed between one adjacent pair of sheets and a second set of such mandrels interposed between the other adjacent pair of sheets.
