摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for enforcing policy controls for non-system managed tape media. The apparatus includes an operating system configured to communicate with a tape media drive, and an identification module configured to identify a tape media type of a tape media cartridge. The apparatus may also include a policy module configured to maintain control policies for tape media types, and a media control module configured to enforce the control policies. The system includes a computing system having a processor, a cache, an operating system, and a plurality of input/output interfaces, a tape media drive coupled to the computing system, and the apparatus. The method includes communicating with a tape media drive, identifying a tape media type of a tape media cartridge, maintaining a plurality of control policies for tape media types, and enforcing the plurality of control policies.

摘要: A filter system for temporary placement of a filter in an artery or vein is disclosed. The filter system includes a guidewire that is first positioned across a lesion within a vessel. The guidewire may include a distal stop. A slideable filter is then advanced along the guidewire using an advancing mechanism, typically an elongate member slideable over the guidewire and contacting the filter. A capture sheath may be disposed about the filter during advancement. Once the filter is positioned downstream of the lesion, the capture sheath is withdrawn, allowing the filter to expand. Further distal advancement of the filter is prohibited by the stop. After expansion of the filter, the capture sheath and the advancing mechanism are withdrawn from the region of interest, and removed from the patient's vessel. The filter may then be retrieved using a capture sheath or exchanged for a second filter after removing the first filter.

摘要: The invention implements specialized resource functions (SRFs) associated with wireless intelligent network (WIN) in a mobile switch center (MSC) of a wireless network. In one aspect, the invention provides a method for handling SRFs associated with WIN in an MSC of a wireless network. In another embodiment of the method, the invention provides a method for handling SRFs in an MSC of a wireless network, wherein the wireless network includes the MSC and a service control point (SCP) in communication with the MSC. In still another aspect, the invention provides an MSC for a wireless network that includes: a switch service function (SSF) process, an SRF process, an SSF/SRF interface, and an SCP interface.

摘要: Medical device and methods for delivery or implantation of prostheses within hollow body organs and vessels or other luminal anatomy are disclosed. The subject technologies may be used in the treatment of atherosclerosis in stenting procedures. For such purposes, a self-expanding stent may be deployed in connection with an angioplasty procedure with a sliding restraint based delivery system adapted for simplified use. In the system, the sliding restraint is sized, in coordination with a fixed sleeve accepting a core wire to actuate the restraint to effect an anchoring function with the sleeve so that the stent is not inadvertently advanced during deployment.

摘要: The invention provides polynucleotides and polypeptides encoded therefrom having advantageous properties, including an ability of the polypeptides to preferentially bind a human CD28 or CTLA-4 receptor at a level greater or less than the ability of human B7-1 to bind human CD28 or CTLA-4, or to induce or inhibit altered level of T cell proliferation response greater compared to that generated by human B7-1. The polypeptides and polynucleotides of the invention are useful in therapeutic and prophylactic treatment methods, gene therapy applications, and vaccines.
