摘要： A retrieving tool including a retrieving dummy and/or a kit incorporating the same is provided that facilitates training a dog or puppy to find and/or retrieve antlers that were shed by antler bearing animals. The retrieving dummy is shaped to resemble a naturally grown antler and emits an antler scent. A scent carrier may be applied to the retrieving dummy, to allow the retrieving dummy to emit such antler scent. The kit may further include a second retrieving dummy that is less similar in shape, texture, hardness or feel, to a naturally grown antler than the first, and a scent intensity of the antler scent may be varied with use of the one or more retrieving dummies so as to allow for incremental or gradual introduction of the shape, feel, and/or scent of naturally grown antlers to the dog or puppy being trained.

摘要： A deer attracting device and/or a kit incorporating the same facilitates luring deer to a specific location. The device includes a base that is supported from below by an underlying ground surface and a lock that holds a visual lure in an upright position, extending away from the base, so that deer can easily see the visual lure. A scent carrier may be applied to the visual lure and is configured to entice deer to apply their own scent(s) to the visual lure by scent marking or licking the lure. This encourages other deer to do the same after being visually drawn close enough to the visual lure to detect the scent. Correspondingly, the deer maintain or replenish the scent of the lure mitigating the need for a human to artificially do the same. The visual lure is maintained in position on the base be a column within which a lower end of the visual lure is received, and a lock that maintains the visual lure within the column.

The surface can be a generally planar surface. The edge member is stiffer than the surface. In several embodiments, the transducer is adapted to vibrate. The transducer can, for example, be selected from the group consisting of a piezoelectric transducer, an electrostrictive transducer and a magnetostrictive transducer. Preferably, the transducer is attached to the surface of the substrate by a metallic bonding agent and, more particularly, by welding.

In the subject methods, timing of a signal obtain from a strain gauge stably associated with the tissue location of interest is employed to evaluate movement of the cardiac tissue location. The subject methods and devices find use in a variety of different applications, including cardiac resynchronization therapy.

摘要： A liquid dispensing device using a piezoelectric member in connection with an atomizing head and a passive metering method to supply liquid to the atomizing head. Preferably, the device is used to but not limited to dispensing of fragrances, insecticides or other aromatic solutions. The piezoelectric member does not vibrate the nozzle plate through which the liquid is dispensed. The passive metering method relies only on surface tension forces within the supply passageway. The device can work with a wider range of liquid properties than existing piezoelectric devices of this type. The passive metering method is robust and consistent, enabling larger and more varied liquid reservoirs because the reservoir height is not a factor in determining the performance of the device. The atomizing head functions with a wider range of liquids than atomizers whose nozzle plates are directly excited.

摘要： A graft vessel preparation device and a method for using the graft vessel preparation device is provided. The graft vessel preparation device establishes and maintains a critical dimension on a graft vessel which corresponds to a dimension of an anastomosis site on a target vessel. One example of a graft vessel preparation device which prepares a graft vessel for a vascular anastomosis procedure includes a parallelogram linkage, a first spreader arm and a second spreader arm. The first spreader arm and the second spreader arm mount on opposing members of the parallelogram linkage in a parallel configuration. The spreader arms are configured in order to allow the placement of an end of a graft vessel over the spreader arms. The spreader arms are also configured to separate within an interior of the graft vessel once the graft vessel is placed over the spreader arms in order to establish a critical dimension. The critical dimension is established using a critical dimension locator. The critical dimension locator allows for precise grafting of the graft vessel to a target vessel during the vascular anastomosis procedure.
