摘要： A diagnostic method of determining tumorigenicity of a tissue specimen includes the steps of determining the magnitude of genome diversity in the tissue specimen, and diagnosing a likelihood of cancer in response thereto. The magnitude of genome diversity includes the determination of karyotypic heterogeneity in tissue specimen, illustratively by detecting non-clonal chromosome aberrations (NCCAs). The detection of NCCAs includes the identification of various types and frequency of NCCAs, and diagnosis is responsive to the step of detecting the frequency of NCCAs. Detection of NCCAs includes the further step of screening lymphocytes. Also, the step of determining the presence of elevated genome diversity includes the step of applying Spectral Karyotyping to detect structural and numerical aberrations throughout the genome. The diagnostic method is useful to determine drug resistance in a patient and potential harmfulness, to evaluate the side effects of drugs, and to measure genome system stress.

Each of the electrodes has a bottom portion and an annular element, wherein the bottom portion is disposed on the substrate, the annular element is disposed on the bottom portion, and the bottom portion and the annular element define a containing recess. The chip is disposed above the substrate and has an active surface facing the substrate and a plurality of pads disposed on the active surface. The bumps are respectively disposed on the pads and respectively inserted into the containing recesses. The melting point of the electrodes is higher than that of the bumps. A chip package method is also provided.

摘要： An optical fiber for use in fiber optic sensing of a test sample includes a first core and a second core. The second core is generally coaxially disposed within the first core and is sized smaller than the first core. The second core is capable of delivering pulsed laser energy from the laser for nonlinear optical excitation of the test sample. Nonlinear optical feedback signals can then be collected in both the first core and second core for improved detection efficiency relative to conventional single-mode and multi-mode fibers.

摘要： A method of video coding using palette coding mode for color video in a non-444 color format is disclosed. The non-444 video data can be converted to the 444 format so that the palette designed for the 444 format can be used for the non-444 video data. For the 4:2:0 color format, each chroma sample collocated with corresponding quad luma samples is padded with three chroma samples to form converted quad chroma samples. For the 4:2:0 color format, if a current pixel does not belong to the color palette, one or more escape values are signaled for the current pixel and the escape value associated with the chroma sample of the current pixel for each color component is not signaled for three of the quad chroma sample locations collocated with corresponding quad luma samples.

A method incorporating an embodiment of the present invention determines one or more palette sharing flags for the current block. A set of current palettes corresponding to the set of color components is generated according to the palette sharing flags. If a first palette sharing flag is asserted, one or more current palettes indicated by the first palette sharing flag are copied entirely from one or more reference palettes of a set of reference palettes. If the first palette sharing flag is not asserted, one or more current palettes indicated by the first palette sharing flag are derived from a bitstream associated with the video data. Encoding or decoding is then applied to the current block according to the set of current palettes.
