摘要： The invention relates to method of depositing refractory metal carbide onto part of a surface of a body comprising diamond, the method including adhering directly onto part of the surface a refractory precursor material comprising a compound including oxygen and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta and W; the refractory precursor material being reducible in the presence of carbon on the application of heat to form at least one compound comprising metal carbide or mixed metal carbide; and reducing the refractory precursor material by the application of heat. The invention further relates to a body comprising diamond, part of the surface of the body having directly adhered thereto a metal carbide and part of the surface of the body having directly adhered thereto a metallic material and the content of diamond being greater than 80 volume percent of a volume of the body.

摘要： A system for preparing data and video sequences to enable a viewer to scroll content in a plurality of directions including a first and second direction, the content including at least one element in motion, the system including a video sequence preparation module to prepare the video sequences including a first and second video sequence, each video sequence including still images, each still image including at least part of the content, at least some of the still images including the at least one element, the video sequences being prepared such that playing the first and second video sequence effects scrolling the content in the first and second direction, respectively, and a switchover determination module to prepare the data including corresponding switchover points in the video sequences for switching between the video sequences and therefore for switching the direction of scrolling by the viewer. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

The method comprises compacting a mixture of a first pre-alloyed powder and a lubricant to thereby form a green part having a green strength sufficient to permit mechanical handling; applying a slurry to a surface of the green part to thereby form a slurry coated green part, wherein the slurry comprises a second pre-alloyed powder, a binder, and a solvent; and heating the coated green part to a temperature below a solidus temperature of the first pre-alloyed powder and between a solidus temperature and a liquidus temperature of the second pre-alloyed powder to thereby solid state sinter the first pre-alloyed powder into a sintered core and to liquid state sinter the second pre-alloyed powder into a continuous alloy coating over the sintered core.
