摘要： A vial enshrouded or contained in a protective covering which prevents emission of radiation form the vial contents, shielding the environment and personnel from irradiation. The vial optionally has a V-shaped bottom to allow withdrawal of a maximal amount of the fluid without inverting the vial. The vial is equipped with a vial access adapter having a fluid withdrawal spike which extends in to the V-shaped bottom. The vial access adapter may be vented or non-vented.

摘要： A prefilled syringe of cartridge barrel having a tamper evident closure. Tamper evidence is provided by: a frangible tip seal which is integral with the tapered tip of the barrel; a frangible tip cap covering the tip, the tip seal and a portion of the distal end of the barrel; and an overwrap covering the frangible tip cap and the distal end of the barrel sealed to the distal end of the barrel by a tamper evident seal. The tapered tip is optionally equipped with a luer collar to receive an external luer connector. Alternatively, the tapered tip can be provided with a bore therethrough which can be closed with an elastomeric plug and the external connector can be a tubing conduit.

摘要： A vial access adapter for withdrawal of a medical fluid contained in a vial which includes a vial access adapter body having a circular top wall with a plurality of vent holes, a circular second wall spaced from the top wall, and a cylindrical side wall which walls define a chamber for holding an anti-bacterial filter. A first spike centrally located in the vial access adapter body extends through the top wall, chamber, and bottom wall, with one end extending above the top wall terminating in a threaded luer connector, while the other end terminates in a sharp point. A flow channel extends through the first spike designed for withdrawal of the medical fluid from the vial. A second spike positioned parallel to the first spike extends from the second wall, one end of which extends into the chamber, and the other end terminates in a sharp point. A flow channel extends through the second spike designed for air flow from the chamber into the vial. An elastomeric membrane positioned within the threaded luer connector seals the opening in the vial access adapter. Preferably the elastomeric membrane is of M-shaped configuration capable of flexing under pressure and of re-sealing itself after being pierced by a luer connector or a syringe equipped with a luer connector.

摘要： A unitary, flexible container, for containment and delivery of medical fluids, having:a) first and second polymeric sheets superimposed and sealed together at their periphery defining an interior reservoir, the container having a top portion, a mid portion and a bottom portion; the bottom portion terminates in a first angle and a second angle of from about 5.degree. to about 45.degree. each from the center of the bottom portion to a horizontal plane crossing the center of the bottom portion;b) an access member integral with the unitary, flexible container located at the center of the bottom portion allowing filling the flexible container with medical fluids and access to the medical fluids for delivery to a patient; andc) at least one oval shaped rigid reinforcing disc positioned in the mid portion of the interior reservoir to prevent collapse of the walls of the container on each other causing hold up of droplets.
