    摘要: A fluid dispensing system for use with a drum with a bung, and a drum insert that includes a downtube that inserts into the bung. A dispense head has provision for a return flow line that discharges recirculated fluid into the annular space around the drum insert downtube. A foaming reduction device minimizes foam created from the recirculation. The invention includes a spring-loaded poppet that closes when the dispense head is removed from the bung opening. The poppet is configured such that the engagement member is a ring shaped with support members extending axially. The engagement member seats on and couples with a nipple on the drum insert.The nipple has a seating portion to engage the engagement member of the poppet. The invention also includes a seal verification conduit in fluid communication with a space intermediate two seals at a junction between the dispense head and the drum insert.

    摘要: A bag-in-bag-in-bottle assembly formed by a flexible dispensing container with a dispensing fitment. The dispensing container is positioned adjacent or sandwiched between one or more flexible pressurization containers having a separate inlet/outlet path through a second fitment. The bag-in-bag assembly can then be placed in a containment vessel with the fitments mounted such that it is accessible on the vessel. A liquid can be extracted from the dispensing container by introducing a fluid into the pressurization container(s) with enough pressure to force the liquid out through the dispensing fitment. A contoured dispensing head may be coupled to the bag-in-bag-in-bottle assembly using a earn actuation arrangement for simultaneously locking the pressurization, vent and fluid extraction couplings.

    摘要: A composite, drum type container for storing and dispensing corrosive fluids comprises an inner plastic liner of polyethylene and an outer plastic shell. The end walls of the outer shell are substantially dome-shaped to add strength to the container, and the top end wall is further reinforced by an inclined offset wall, ribs, and inwardly protruding portions of the sidewall, to prevent deformation. A separate pressure plate adds to the strength of the dome-shaped bottom end wall. A recess or well in the bottom end wall and pressure plate allows complete removal of the contents of the container.

The system further having a dispense head configured to couple with the drum insert, the dispense head having first and second conduits, each having a valve assembly, the valve assemblies in operable communication with the drum insert when the dispense head is coupled with the drum insert. When the dispense head is coupled with the drum insert the first and second valve assemblies are effected to an open position enabling fluid to flow through the conduits. When the dispense head is not coupled with the drum insert the first and second valve assemblies are biased to a closed position inhibiting fluid from flowing through the conduits.

    摘要: A plastic blow molded drum has unique top and bottom structure providing protection and strength for the drum and attachments. An integrally formed top structure with a sufficiently deep recess provides protection for drum inserts and associated closures. Additionally, the bottom structure includes a sump and structural member formed by the pinched-off parisan during the blow molding process. The drum has a top wall, a cylindrical side wall, and a bottom wall defining an open interior. The top wall has an access port comprising a fitting integrally formed with the drum. The fitting having an upwardly extending neck with inside threads and a top shoulder. A drum insert is engaged with the fitting and provides an additional second threaded fitting and a second shoulder both extending upwardly above the shoulder of the integral fitting. A closure comprising a plug portion and a threaded nut portion engages the second threaded fitting, closes the port, and extends above the second shoulder. The closure has an uppermost portion, which may be a protective cover or venting valve handle. The protective recess may suitably be formed by the chime and/or further downward recessed portions of the top wall such that the first fitting, the second fitting, and the closure, including the uppermost portion of the closure are all below the top edge of the chime.

    摘要: The drum cap venting device generally includes a venting cap assembly. The venting cap assembly can include a venting cap and a venting key. The venting cap generally includes a main body portion, a valve portion and a ring portion. The venting key generally includes a key body portion and a venting tube. The venting key is rotatably engageable with the valve portion of the venting cap such that rotation of the key provides a passageway of continuous fluid communication from the drum, through conduits in the venting cap, and out the venting tube of the venting key. As a result, any release or evacuation of pressurized gasses from the drum is directed away from the user to a safe area or device.
