A display apparatus includes a display module and a front case. The display module displays images. The display module includes a boss fixing member having a combination hole. The front case covers a first surface of the display module and has a first boss that is inserted into the combination hole to combine the front case to the display module. The first boss is formed at inside edges of the display module. The boss fixing member is positioned within the edges of the display module which define the outdimension of the display module.

Provided are a headset for a user specific audio service and a method for a user specific audio service using the same. The headset for a user specific audio service includes: a sensing unit sensing whether or not the headset is put on; an information collecting unit determining whether or not the headset is put on by the sensing unit and collecting current situation information of a user when the headset is put on; and an information processing unit generating a user profile based on the current situation information of the user, and controlling an audio signal output of a digital audio device based on the generated user profile.

A printed circuit board assembly and a liquid crystal display (“LCD”) having the same, and more particularly, to a printed circuit board assembly, wherein a board mounted with a heat dissipation plate and a time controller using a spring clip or a hook spring can prevent the board from sagging. An exemplary embodiment includes a heat dissipation plate, a protection plate and a thermal interface material to dissipate heat from a time controller, thereby efficiently dissipating heat from the time controller. Another exemplary embodiment includes a spring clip or a hook spring to increase contact forces among a protection plate, a heat dissipation plate and a board, thereby further improving heat dissipation performance. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention make it possible to provide a printed circuit board assembly, wherein a spring clip supports the bottom of a region of a board in which a time controller is mounted, thereby preventing sagging of the region of the board in which the time controller and a heat dissipation plate are mounted. An LCD having the printed circuit board assembly is also described.

A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, lamps, a diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing member. The receiving container includes a bottom plate and sidewalls together providing a receiving space. The lamps are arranged substantially parallel to each other on the bottom plate. The diffusion plate is disposed over the lamps. The lamp-fixing member includes a body portion extending substantially perpendicular to the lamps, a buffer protruding upwardly from the body portion, a diffusion plate supporting portion protruding from the buffer to support the diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing portion formed at the body portion to fix the lamps. Therefore, the buffer having elasticity is formed at an area at which the diffusion plate supporting portion is formed, so that rubbing between the diffusion plate and the diffusion plate supporting portion may be reduced.

A method for illuminating a liquid crystal display device, a back-light assembly for performing the same and a liquid crystal display device using the same can improve the front luminance and production yield. Lights from a lamp is incident to a LCD panel side, which are then primarily diffused for a uniformity of the luminous flux of the incident lights. The luminous flux of the primarily diffused lights is condensed with respect to a first orientation component on a plane in parallel with the LCD panel, and then partially and secondarily diffused for extending a view angle of pixels of the LCD panel. After the luminous flux of the secondarily diffused lights is condensed with respect to a second orientation component perpendicular to the first orientation on the parallel plane, the condensed lights are illuminated onto the LCD panel. A diffusion sheet for secondarily diffusing the luminous flux and a condensing sheet for condensing the second orientation component are formed by a single sheet to reduce the manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display device. Also, a defect produced from respective sheets is minimized to enhance the yield.

A receptacle assembly that receives a back light assembly and a display unit of a liquid crystal display device is disclosed. The receptacle assembly for receiving the back light assembly comprises a first receptacle module and a second receptacle module engaged with the rear surface of the first receptacle module to support the first receptacle module. The first receptacle module and the second receptacle module are formed of plastic and metal respectively. Therefore, the distortion that can be generated by the exterior impact and the vibration and the deflection due to the heat can be prevented. Further, the productivity is improved by simplifying the engaging structure of the receptacle assembly, and the size stability is improved.
