The method includes detecting and monitoring by a computing system, a frequency signal associated with an input voltage signal used for powering computing apparatuses at a specified location. The computing system compares the frequency signal to a predetermined frequency value. The computing system determines that the frequency signal comprises a first value that is not equal to the predetermined frequency value. The computing system calculates a difference value between the first value and the predetermined frequency value. The computing system compares the difference value to a second value and analyzes a power demand profile. The computing system enables a load adjustment modification process associated with the plurality of power consumption devices based on the difference value and the power demand profile. The computing system generates and stores a report associated with the load adjustment modification process.

    摘要: An approach is provided to establish, over a network adapter, network sessions with various client computer systems. Requests for a webpage are received at the network adapter from the client computer systems. The requested webpage is retrieved from a storage area. Multiple timeout intervals are initialized and stored in a memory area, wherein each of the plurality timeout intervals corresponds to one of the client computer systems. The timeout intervals that are initialized are different for at least some of the client computer systems. The requested webpage is returned to the client computer systems. When a timeout interval elapses for any of the client computer systems, the system terminates the session that was established with the client computer system.

The method includes receiving by a computer processor of a computing apparatus, a signal indicating that a power outage has ended and that an input voltage signal used for powering power consumption devices at a first specified location power will be enabled. The computer processor disables input voltage signal connections to the power consumption devices and detects that the input voltage signal is enabled. The computer processor enables a first input voltage signal connection associated with a first power consumption device and monitors a frequency signal associated with the input voltage signal. The computer processor generates frequency level data comprising a frequency level of the frequency signal and compares the frequency level to a predetermined frequency level value. The computer processor generates results data comprising results of comparing the frequency level to a predetermined frequency level value.

    摘要: A method, programmed medium and system are provided for enabling a slider bar to change “mode” or “purpose”, based on feedback from the graphical user interface (GUI). In one exemplary embodiment, a slider functions in usual manner but an audible or video signal is provided as each tab, window or object in a plurality of tabs, windows or objects is scrolled through. Within a specific time interval of feedback action, the user may stop and pause the movement of the cursor. This causes the tab, window or object to open and the slider bar mode to change from selecting to scrolling through the content of that specific tab, window or object. In another example, in addition to the “pause” action, the enhanced slider bar would accept movement perpendicular to the normal direction of slider bar movement, as indication that a new function is to be performed.
