Consequently, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a short circuit of the battery due to external impacts, such as the dropping of the battery, and to prevent the occurrence of an internal short circuit of the battery due to the expansion of the battery case caused by the repetitive charge and discharge of the battery, whereby the safety of the secondary battery is improved.

The secondary battery according to the present invention has the effect of preventing the breakage of the electrode leads due to the movement of the electrode assembly when external forces, such as small vibrations and dropping, are applied to the secondary battery, and, preferably, easily bending the electrode leads such that the PCM is mounted to the secondary battery.

When external forces are applied to the secondary battery, the safety of the secondary battery is improved, and the occurrence of a short circuit is effectively prevented.
