摘要： An endoscope signal processing apparatus has a first video signal generating circuit and a second video signal generating circuit which respectively generate a first video signal and a second video signal offering different resolutions depending on a first image capturing device and a second image capturing device respectively which are mounted in an endoscope removably connected to an endoscope connecting portion. The first and second video signals can be selectively output to an exterior through a common video signal output connector.

摘要： Wound-covering materials comprising two layers, a first support layer which is to be in contact with a wound and a second moisture permeation-controlling layer which may optionally contain an antimicrobial agent are taught. The support layer is formed from a biocompatible highly aqueous gel-forming substance, e.g., carboxymethylcelluloses, alginates, hyaluronates, poly(meth)acrylates, chitosan derivatives and chitin derivatives, and at least a portion of the support layer which is to be in contact with a wound is coated with a water-repellant substance, e.g., silicones, polyurethanes, styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymers and polytetrafluoroethylenes. The moisture permeation controlling layer may, e.g., be formed from steam permeable resin films made of silicone or polyurethane elastomers. The resultant wound-covering materials inhibit infection and pain, maintain adequate water retention, and do not produce bioincompatibility responses when applied to the site of wounds.

摘要： There is provided a discharge-lamp lighting device that, upon start-up of a high-intensity discharge lamp, alternately outputs a period A during which a starting circuit applies a high voltage to the high-intensity discharge lamp by resonance operation when a DC/AC inverter outputs a high-frequency voltage, and a period B during which the DC/AC inverter applies a low-frequency-square-wave voltage or a DC voltage to the high-intensity discharge lamp via the starting circuit. The period A for applying the high voltage by the resonance operation is set to about a time enough for a high-intensity discharge lamp in an initial aging stage to cause a dielectric breakdown, and a period C for alternately outputting the high-voltage generating period A and the period B for outputting the low-frequency-square-wave voltage or the DC voltage is set to about a time enough for a high-intensity discharge lamp in a life's last stage to cause a dielectric breakdown.

The chlorinated polyolefin is obtained by chlorinating a polyolefin being selected from ethylene homopolymer or ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer, and has a density of 0.90 or more; and the chlorinated polyolefin has a chlorine content of 25 to 45% by mass, a melt flow rate of 0.1 to 300 g/10 minutes, and a heat of crystal fusion as determined by DSC of 20 to 60 J/g. The epoxy derivative is selected from epoxidized unsaturated oil, and epoxidized unsaturated fatty acid ester, epichlorhydrin derivative and epoxycyclohexane derivative, and the stabilizer is selected from a hydrotalcite minerals.
