Abstract:
An inhibiting or alleviating agent for amyloid beta (Aβ)-induced damage in hippocampus including an extract from inflamed tissues inoculated with vaccinia virus. Also relates to the use of the extract from inflamed tissues inoculated with vaccinia virus in the preparation of an agent for inhibiting or alleviating Aβ-induced damage in hippocampus.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for preparing a resistant dextrin product by using compound enzyme treatment. Starch is first subjected to high-temperature acidolysis to obtain pyrodextrin which is used as the substrate for the enzyme treatment. A compound enzyme reaction system including a starch branching enzyme and a CGTase is used for preparing the resistant dextrin product. The starch branching enzyme and the CGTase are added simultaneously or sequentially to treat the pyrodextrin to further increase the content of the resistant component in the product. The content of the resistant component of the enzyme treated product reaches up to 65.3%, a 21.3% increase from that of the pyrodextrin before the enzyme treatment.
Abstract:
Composite materials containing sulfurized polymers and sulfur-containing particles can be used in lithium-sulfur energy storage devices as a positive electrode. The composite material exhibits relatively high capacity retention and high charge/discharge cycle stability. In one particular instance, the composite comprises a sulfurized polymer having chains that are cross-linked through sulfur bonds. The polymer provides a matrix in which sulfide and/or polysulfide intermediates formed during electrochemical charge-discharge processes of sulfur can be confined through chemical bonds and not mere physical confinement or sorption.
Abstract:
The innovated multi function dessert fork comprises an equal sign and triple-arrow of two different designs with forking, cutting and shoveling food of three functionalities together. Unlike a normal fork, the multifunction dessert fork has two dedicated cutting edges that would cut any dessert easily without using a dinner knife; it would also fit left and right hand person perfectly. The fork has only three effective teeth, and they are shorter than normal fork teeth, which would make more room for cutting and shoveling food. It is new design with a novel look. It would bring more convenient to our life as well as more fun to enjoy the dessert.
Abstract:
Methods of forming a memory device having an array portion including a plurality of array transistors and a periphery region including peripheral circuit transistor structures of the memory device, where an upper surface of the periphery region and an upper surface of the array portion are planar (or nearly planar) after formation of the peripheral circuit transistor structures and a plurality of memory cells (formed over the array transistors). The method includes forming the peripheral circuit transistor structures in the periphery region, forming the plurality of array transistors in the array portion and forming a plurality of memory cells over respective vertical transistors. Structures formed by the method have planar upper surfaces of the periphery and array regions.
Abstract:
A method of image reconstruction for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system includes obtaining k-space scan data captured by the MRI system, the k-space scan data being representative of an undersampled region over time, iteratively reconstructing preliminary dynamic images for the undersampled region from the k-space scan data via optimization of a first instance of a minimization problem, the minimization problem including a regularization term weighted by a weighting parameter array, generating a motion determination indicative of an extent to which each location of the undersampled region exhibits motion over time based on the preliminary dynamic images, and iteratively reconstructing motion-compensated dynamic images for the region from the k-space scan data via optimization of a second instance of the minimization problem, the second instance having the weighting parameter array altered as a function of the motion determination.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an array of nonvolatile memory cells includes five memory cells per unit cell. Also disclosed is an array of vertically stacked tiers of nonvolatile memory cells that includes five memory cells occupying a continuous horizontal area of 4F2 within an individual of the tiers. Also disclosed is an array of nonvolatile memory cells comprising a plurality of unit cells which individually comprise three elevational regions of programmable material, the three elevational regions comprising the programmable material of at least three different memory cells of the unit cell. Also disclosed is an array of vertically stacked tiers of nonvolatile memory cells that includes a continuous volume having a combination of a plurality of vertically oriented memory cells and a plurality of horizontally oriented memory cells. Other embodiments and aspects are disclosed.
Abstract:
This disclosure features fungicidal combinations that include a paraffinic oil and an emulsifier. The combinations can further include one or more of the following: pigments, silicone surfactants, anti-settling agents, conventional fungicides such as demethylation inhibitors (DMI) and quinone outside inhibitors (Qol) and water. The fungicidal combinations are used for controlling infection of a crop plant by a fungal pathogen.
Abstract:
An herbicide composition available as a concentrate for dilution with water or a ready-to-use oil-in-water emulsion which has a significantly reduced amount of active ingredient of a broadleaf herbicide. The composition combines the reduced amount of herbicide in a mixture of oil and emulsifier.
