The photosensitive material has, on a support, a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and a nonsensitive layer. Compound (A): heterocyclic compound having one or more heteroatoms, which heterocyclic compound is capable of substantially increasing the sensitivity of silver halide color photosensitive material by addition thereof as compared with that exhibited when the compound is not added.
