摘要： A tension rod mechanism for a tension rod having a first outer shaft with a second inner shaft slideable therein. A first collar receiveable in the first outer shaft of a tension rod for rotational movement therewith and slidable axial movement relative thereto threadingly engages a tapered first threaded shaft and is configured to apply a outwardly-directed radial force to the first outer shaft. A second collar fixedly receivable in the second inner shaft for movement therewith engages the second threaded shaft. A first rotation of the first outer shaft relative to the second inner shaft increases the outwardly-directed radial force applied by the first collar to the first outer shaft, and a second rotation in an opposite direction increases the axial distance between the first and second collars.

摘要： An apparatus for suspending at least one object from or above a support surface includes a frame having a first segment, a second segment, a third segment and a fourth segment. The first segment extends generally parallel to the second segment and the third segment extends generally parallel to the fourth segment. The first segment extends generally perpendicularly to the second segment. A web formed by elastic bands extends between the segments of the frame. The web includes at least a first pair of the elastic bands extending generally parallel to each other and at least a second pair of the elastic bands. Opposing ends of each of the first pair of the elastic bands extend around the first and second segments of the frame. Opposing ends of each of the second pair of the elastic bands extend around the third and fourth segments of the frame.

摘要： A faceplate light socket assembly for a light bank of the type used above vanity cabinets. The faceplate socket maintains a light bulb in substantially horizontal orientation perpendicular to the wall to which the light assembly is mounted. A pre-wired socket includes a spring clip which detachably retains the socket within a specially configured aperture of the faceplate. The aperture has an insertion slot to facilitate insertion of the spring within the aperture, a helical edge which gradually reduces the diameter of the aperture and a retaining notch to lock the socket in position. The helical edge biasingly compresses the spring clip upon rotation of the socket to maintain the socket within the aperture. An outer cylindrical surface of the socket is threaded for attaching a decorative sleeve.

摘要： A tension rod has an outer shaft slidably receiving an inner shaft. A tension mechanism includes a partially threaded rod with a threaded portion. A first end extends from the threaded portion and is adapted for fixing to an inner surface of the inner shaft; a second end has a tapered body with a greater transverse dimension closer to the second end. A wedge has a slot and an inner surface in facing sliding engagement with the tapered body between a nut threadedly engaged with the threaded portion and the second end. The nut is rotationally fixed to the outer shaft. Upon relative rotation of the inner and outer shafts, the nut moves along the threaded portion toward the second end, the wedge abutting and moving with the nut. The wedge contacts the tapered body, expands radially, and contacts the inner surface of the outer shaft, locking the shafts together.

摘要： An adjustable pole caddy includes an elongated pole, a shelf including a generally planar surface for supporting at least one object thereon, a clamp having a first aperture and a second aperture, and a fastener extending through the first aperture of the clamp. The second aperture extends around at least a portion of an outer periphery of the pole. In a locked position of the fastener and clamp, an end portion of the fastener engages the pole and at least a portion of the shelf removably engages at least a portion of the clamp. The clamp is secured to the pole and the shelf is secured to the clamp. In a released position of the fastener and clamp, the end portion of the fastener does not engage the pole.
