    摘要: A brightness image is produced from a frame image input from a scope and a high brightness pixel group including pixels next to one another, of which the brightness values exceed a predetermined value, and of which the number exceeds a predetermined value, is detected. Only when the pixel group is detected, a microcomputer performs light amount adjustment. When no high brightness pixel group is detected any more, a brightness blurred image is produced from the brightness image. If the value of a pixel forming the brightness blurred image is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, the value is replaced with zero. If the value is less than or equal to a predetermined value, the value is replaced with a greater value as the value is smaller. Then, brightness conversion is performed on the brightness image by adding the brightness blurred image after replacement to the brightness image.

    摘要: In an electronic endoscope system, an RF signal is produced through quadrature modulation of a picture signal that is representative of an image taken through an electronic endoscope. When control signals are entered by an operator through a control section of the electronic endoscope, a data superimposing section superimposes the entered control signals on the RF signal in horizontal scanning intervals within a vertical blanking interval. The RF signal having the control signals superimposed thereon is sent as an electric wave of a single frequency band to a processor. In the processor, a data analyzer carries out sampling to extract the entered control signals if they are superimposed on the picture signal, and analyzes the contents of the entered control signals. Based on the results of analysis, a CPU controls respective components of the signal processor.

    摘要: An electronic endoscope has a light guide for leading a light and a solid-state image sensor for capturing an image of a human body cavity during illumination. In inspecting the number of broken optical fibers in the light guide, a cap is attached to a distal portion of the electronic endoscope. The cap has a test chart. The solid-state image sensor captures an image of the test chart which is illuminated with the light transmitted through the light guide. A photometric circuit calculates an average luminance value “Y” of the test chart from a chart image signal. A broken fiber number calculator calculates the number “N” of broken optical fibers that satisfies N=M×(1−Y/I). “Y” represents an average luminance value of the test chart. “I” represents an ideal average luminance value when all optical fibers are conducting, and “M” represents the total number of the optical fibers.

    摘要: An electronic endoscope apparatus has a single coaxial cable installed between a scope A and a processor unit B. Waveform superimposing circuits superimpose a video signal on power transmitted through the coaxial cable and sequentially superimpose scope-side reference pulses and processor-side reference pulses alternately on horizontal scanning blanking periods in one field of the video signal. At the same time, the scope A and processor unit B generate reference signals and various timing signals synchronized with the reference pulses of the counterpart and perform video processing based on them. This enables accurate sampling even when scopes with different pixel counts are used. Also, a scope information signal and electronic shutter control signal may be superimposed on a predetermined blanking period in the video signal. Alternatively, an electromagnetic coupler may be installed instead of the coaxial cable and the video signal and reference pulses may be superimposed on AC power supplied electromagnetically.

When a release switch of the electronic endoscope is operated to record an endoscopic image, a picture signal of the endoscopic image is modulated into a radio frequency signal, and a header representative of the allocated channel is attached to the radio frequency signal, before sending it as an electric wave to a storage server through the allocated channel. The storage server is provided with a plurality of data storages for the individual channels. In the storage server, the received radio frequency signal is demodulated into the original picture signal, and an I/O port sorts the picture signal according to the attached header, to write it as the endoscopic image in the data storage corresponding to the channel represented by the attached header.

    摘要: The sharpness of an image obtained by an endoscope is adjusted. A sharpness enhancement amount is determined for each pixel based on the value of each pixel which forms a luminance distribution image. Further, a portion contributing to adjustment of brightness and a portion contributing to adjustment of saturation in the sharpness enhancement amount are determined for each pixel of the image so that the sum thereof is equal to the sharpness enhancement amount. Then, an adjustment value of saturation, which is obtained by weighting the value of each pixel of the image based on the portion contributing to saturation, and an adjustment value of brightness, which is obtained by weighting the value of each pixel of the luminance distribution image, which corresponds to each pixel of the image, based on the portion contributing to brightness, are added to the value of each pixel of the image.
