摘要： A flat panel display is provided. The flat panel display includes a cathode panel in which a plurality of electron emission areas are provided on a support, and an anode panel in which a plurality of phosphor areas and an anode electrode are provided on a substrate. The cathode panel and the anode panel are joined together at their periphery by a joining member. The anode electrode includes an anode electrode central section covering the phosphor areas, and an anode electrode peripheral section surrounding the anode electrode central section and extending from the anode electrode central section and being provided in contact with the substrate. The average thickness of the anode electrode peripheral section is smaller than the average thickness of the anode electrode central section.

摘要： An image-reading processing apparatus is connected to an image reading apparatus being capable of reading both surface images of a document, including a storage unit and a control unit, wherein the control unit includes a double-face reading control unit that controls the image reading apparatus to scan both the surfaces of the document, a coordinate acquiring unit that acquires a coordinate group of a position serving as an edge candidate of the document based on a grayscale value in image data of each of the surfaces read by the double-face reading control unit, a straight line detecting unit that detects a straight line group corresponding to an edge portion of the document based on the coordinate group acquired by the coordinate acquiring unit, a straight line inverting unit that inverts the straight line group detected by the straight line detecting unit, and a straight line selecting unit that determines the straight line group suitable for the edge portion from the document in the straight line group detected by the straight line detecting unit on one surface and the straight line group inverted by the straight line inverting unit on the other surface to select the straight line group.

摘要： A method of manufacturing an anode panel, the anode panel including a substrate, unit phosphor regions, lattice-shaped barrier ribs, anode electrode units, and a resistor layer for electrically connecting the anode electrode units to each other, the method including the steps of: obtaining the anode electrode units by forming the barrier ribs and the unit phosphor regions on the substrate, next forming a conductive material layer on an entire surface, and then removing parts of the conductive material layer which parts are situated on barrier rib top surfaces; and forming the resistor layer; wherein a step of removing the parts of the conductive material layer which parts are situated on the barrier rib top surfaces includes a step of attaching a peeling layer to the parts of the conductive material layer which parts are situated on the barrier rib top surfaces and then mechanically peeling off the peeling layer.

Its body is formed in its hemispherical portion at diametrically opposite positions with insert mounting pockets each having a plurality of insert mounting seats. In each set, an insert having an acruate cutting edge is mounted so that the cutting edges will generate a hemispherical locus with laps of more than a quarter of the length of each cutting edge. The inserts closer to the front end of the body has an axial rake of 0 to 5 degrees, whereas those at the rear have an axial rake of 4 to 8 degrees, the latter having a larger axial rake than that of the former. Further, the insert in each pocket are arranged so that the one at the rear will have the leading end of its cutting edge located on the extension line of the cutting edge of the one in front. Thus, the inserts as a whole form a substantially S-shaped line as viewed form the front of the body.

The flat-type panel display includes a cathode panel having a plurality of electron emitter areas formed on a support; and an anode panel having formed on a substrate a plurality of fluorescent regions and an anode electrode covering at least the fluorescent regions, in which the cathode panel and the anode panel are joined together at their edges with a joint member in between. In the display device, the anode panel has formed on the anode electrode an electron absorbing layer for absorbing electrons from any one of the fluorescent regions and the anode electrode or both, and the anode panel has an adhesion improving layer formed between the anode electrode and the electron absorbing layer.
