    摘要: The invention aims to reduce an error occurring due to the mounting condition of an acceleration sensor. In the case of a two-axis sensor, an angle θ is calculated from outputs (x′, y′) that the acceleration sensor produces when known accelerations (x, y) are applied, and the angle θ is stored in a storage device contained in a casing in which the acceleration sensor is housed. In the case of a one-axis sensor, the ratio of the magnitudes of accelerations is stored. The acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor is compensated by using the value stored in the storage device.

    摘要: An optical encoder, including a light emitting section; a light receiving section; and a resinous code plate disposed movably relative to the light emitting section and the light receiving section. The resinous code plate includes, on the plate face thereof, a plurality of tracks respectively provided with molded code-pattern surfaces different from each other, and a local structured-surface area formed between the tracks arranged side-by-side relative to each other, the local structured-surface area possessing a surface configuration different from the molded code-pattern surfaces of the tracks. The molded code-pattern surface of each of the tracks includes a flat surface area and an irregular surface area, adjacent to each other as seen in the extending direction of the track.     摘要: An optical transmitter comprises an amplitude modulation unit performing amplitude modulation of only a one-side amplitude of a main signal with a low-frequency signal having a predetermined frequency. An optical modulator receives an input signal generated after the one-side amplitude modulation, and modulates an incoming light in response to the received signal in accordance with a predetermined modulation-characteristic curve to output an optical output signal. An operating point control unit applies a predetermined bias voltage to the optical modulator to control a level of the input signal substantially applied to the modulation-characteristic curve so that the one-side amplitude of the main signal is applied to a minimum portion of the modulation-characteristic curve of the optical modulator.

    摘要: A gear mechanism and webbing retractor having a compact size in which a pinion is prevented from being damaged when a large initial driving force is applied from a gear. When a sensor detects an emergent deceleration of a vehicle, a piston driving device is actuated so as to move a rack at its standby position in a direction to a pinion. When the rack is located at the standby position, a tooth face on a side near a front end, of a front end tooth thereof is in contact with a pressure receiving surface of the initially driving member. The rack is moved along a pitch line in the direction to the pinion so that the front end tooth presses the pressure receiving surface. As a result, the initially driving member converts the initial driving force from the rack to a rotation force thereby rotating the pinion in the taking-up direction.
