Specifically, a perching deterrent having a saddle made to fit over any desired member of a structure and deterrent extensions may be used separately or in combination. The deterrent extensions may protrude in various configurations from the above-mentioned saddle to inhibit, deter, or insulate animals contracting structures. Also possible is an insulator cap with spiral conductor covers.

    摘要: A welding system for performing a welding process on a pipe in a confined space includes a motor housing, a weld head assembly and an insertion tube that extends between the motor housing and the weld head assembly with the weld head assembly remote from the motor housing. The motor housing is supported on a platform for rotational and translational movement of the weld head assembly and houses a motor for positioning the weld head assembly relative to the pipe. The weld head assembly includes a clamp assembly for attaching the weld head assembly to the pipe and a weld tool assembly mounted adjacent the clamp assembly for welding the pipe. An arc length gear and a travel gear adjust the distance between a torch assembly and the pipe and adjust the location of the torch assembly around the pipe when the weld head assembly is attached to the pipe.

    摘要: A pipette tip member having an elongated tubular receptacle having a sidewall with a bifurcated section that comprises first, second, and third sidewall portions. The first sidewall portion comprises a base wall and the second and third sidewall portions branch therefrom. The second sidewall portion comprises an outside branch wall, and the third sidewall portion comprises an inside branch wall spaced substantially parallel with and radially inward from the second sidewall portion. The inside branch wall is flexible in the radial direction and engages a pipette tip when it is inserted into the receptacle and to form a fluid-tight seal therewith. A method of forming a pipette tip member is also disclosed.

    摘要: A pipette tip member has an elongated tubular receptacle including a sidewall with a plurality of stabilizing projections extending from the sidewall for aligning the pipette shaft, and a sidewall with a bifurcated section that includes first, second, and third sidewall portions. The first sidewall portion defines a base wall and the second and third sidewall portions branch therefrom.     摘要: A surface wave radar system including a receive antenna array (20, 22) for generating receive signals, and a data processing system (24) for processing received data representing the receive signals to mitigate ionospheric clutter. The received data is range and Doppler processed, and a spatial adaptive filter (52) is trained using training data selected from the processed data. The training data includes ionospheric clutter data and excludes cells which contain target data and substantial sea clutter. The processed data is filtered using the filter (52), which may be based on loaded sample matrix inversion. The antenna array (20,22) may be two-dimensional having an L or T shape.
