    摘要: A plurality of curved surfaces which have distinct characteristics are defined as a unified curved surface. The definition is made by a group of polynomials with respect to parameters u and v in two directions reflecting the characteristics of the curved surfaces. Then, paths of a cutting tool to machine the unified curved surface are generated by using the polynomials. Further, a curved surface is divided by a curve into two regions, and a point is designated in one of the regions. Only with respect to the region which includes the designated point, paths of the cutting tool are generated.

For continuous machining of a first surface and a second surface, the intersection of a tool center path to machine the first surface and the offset surface of the second surface is calculated, and the intersection of a tool center path to machine the second surface and the offset surface of the first surface is calculated. Then, a tool center path to create a connecting surface between the intersections is generated.

    摘要: An apparatus for cutting an electrical wiring line includes a laser generator for generating a laser beam, an optical beam branching element for branching a laser beam generated by the laser generator into a plurality of branch beams, and a condenser element for condensing the branch beams branched by the optical beam branching element (the optical beam branching element can also serve as the condenser element). The condenser element may be a condenser lens which is separate from the optical beam branching element. The power and the focal depth of the branch beam may be adjusted. When the substrate has a transparency to the laser beam, the branch beam is directed to the electrical wiring line formed on the substrate from the opposite side to the surface having the electrical wiring line.

In the reflection layer 22, the mirror reflectivity of the region facing the color filter of at least one color is different from the mirror reflectivities of the regions facing the color filters of the other colors. Specifically, the mirror reflectivity of the region facing the blue-based color filter 12B in the reflection layer 22 is higher than the mirror reflectivities of the regions facing the red-based and green-based color filters 12R and 12G in the reflection layer 22.

A semiconductor chip which includes a plurality of luminous dots arranged in a matrix-like manner and is arranged in an envelope is covered on a cut surface thereof rendered electrically GND with an insulating cover layer. Such construction eliminates a failure in insulation between electrodes arranged on the semiconductor chip, to thereby prevent misluminescence of the luminous dots, leading to an increase in display quality.
