When a translated file is received from a translator, a test build of the translated file is executed in a translation test build environment, wherein the translation test build environment is separate from the main software product build environment. A determination is made as to whether the test build of the translated file is successful. If the test build is successful, the translated file is submitted to the main software product build environment. If the test build is unsuccessful, a log file containing error information is sent to the translator to allow the translator to fix compile errors identified in the translated file and resubmit the translated file to the translation test build environment.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a program reads a resource file source code for keys written in a non-standard format. Upon detecting one or more keys written in a non-standard format in the resource file source code, the program modifies the format of those one or more keys so that they are written in a standard format. The program may then read the associated program code for any text that matches the written format of the one or more keys written in the non-standard format. Upon detecting any text that matches the written format of the one or more keys written in the non-standard format, the program replaces any matched text with the updated written format, i.e. standard format, of the one or more keys whose format was modified. In another embodiment of the present invention, a report may be generated which indicates the modifications of the format of the one or more keys in the resource file source code and in the associated program code. In another embodiment of the present invention, the user of the program may be provided an option as to whether or not to save the modifications of the format of the one or more keys in the resource file source code and in the associated program code.

The translator is presented with a graphical user interface in the base language, and can then interactively translate each text label on the screen. Because the translation is performed on the text in the proper context, the time and expense of Translation Verification Testing is reduced or eliminated. The ability to edit the text within the application is achieved by adding an editor function to the software application itself. Each text label in the application is stored in a localization file with a specific resource bundle name and by a key. When the editor is activated, the text object is introspected for its source data, and the translator can edit the text directly. The source data is then used to store the translation for later use.

    摘要: A computer network read-ahead caching method for servers and clients includes compiling a list of addresses associated with the links on a page. The addresses are ordered on the list according to the likelihood that they may be visited by a user. Different compiling methods are provided, including compiling in the order the links appear on the page, compiling only the links which are currently displayed to the user, and compiling currently displayed links and links in the direction the page is being scrolled. Requests are send out to the addresses which are not in a local cache. Any cacheable pages which are received are cached. If the page for the selected link is already cached, it is fetched from the cache and displayed almost instantly, so that the user does not experience the download delay. If the page is not cached, a request is sent out. In another embodiment, the requests identify the client as a read-ahead caching client, and the responses identify the server as a compatible server. Under predetermined conditions, the server sends a regulating response to the client to regulate its read-ahead caching. The client may comply with the regulating response if the server is a compatible server, otherwise the client may ignore the regulating response.
