    摘要： An emergency over-fill assembly for marine vessels for use during cargo filling operations of the vessel and which prevents over-stressing of the compartment being filled due to overfilling. During the filling operation, the emergency over-fill assembly is unlocked to permit pressure to be released from the compartment being filled when the pressure rises above a predetermined point, which pressure is usually higher than the pressure released by conventional pressure-vacuum valves in the compartment. The emergency over-fill assembly can be closed tightly when the filling operation is completed and prevents cargo loss even if the vessel is submerged.

    摘要： A rotary compound engine employing opposed combustion cylinders extending radially on an output shaft, pistons displaceable within the cylinders and having rods connected to each other, an eccentric stationarily mounted, bearing means connecting the piston rods to the eccentric so that actuation of the pistons causes rotation of the output shaft, cooling coils around the path of the cylinders and containing fluid for absorbing heat, a turbine driven by evaporated fluid from the cooling coils for returning power to the output shaft, a radiator for condensing the fluid media from the turbine, a pressure pump for returning the fluid media to the combustion area, a fan on the output shaft for circulating air through the radiator, a cowling for directing air from the radiator past the cooling coils, an annular fuel tank mounted in the end of the cowling opposite from the fan, and a carburetor mounted in the central space of the fuel tank for communicating the fuel tank with the cylinders.

    摘要： A liquid level switch for maintaining the liquid level in a container between upper and lower limits. A first electrode extends into the container to the upper limit and a second electrode extends into the container to the lower limit. A single active circuit element coupled to the electrodes continually monitors the liquid level and controls a pump to maintain that level between the upper and lower limits. The electrodes are mounted within a cup-shaped housing having an open bottom for receiving the liquid upon bottom first insertion of the cup whereby an air pocket trapped within the cup prevents the liquid from rising into the upper portion of the cup to eliminate false indications caused by the liquid clinging between the electrodes.
