    摘要: A first rotary shaft is rotated by a driver and rotatively connected to a first rotary load. A second rotary shaft is rotatively connected to a second rotary load. A hydraulic pump includes a first rotor disposed on the first rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith. A second rotor is disposed on the second rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith. The second rotor acts so that, when a revolution speed difference has occurred between the first and second rotary shafts, the first and second rotors are each relatively slided on a sliding surface thereon by relative rotation corresponding to the difference, to heighten the pressure of liquid-tightly interposed oil and then supply the pressure-heightened oil. A multiple-disk clutch includes a group of engaging members disposed on the first rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith and so as to be movable in the axial direction thereof relative to the first rotary shaft, and another group of engaging members which are disposed on the second rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith. The latter engaging members are placed between the former engaging members so as to constitute a multiple-disk clutch, thus making is possible to engage both the groups of engaging members with each other to transmit torque.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission for vehicular use including a torque converter, a CVT (continuously variable transmission mechanism), and a rotation transmission mechanism of a variable ratio having at least reverse and forward low speed ranges of large reduction ratios and a forward high speed range of small reduction ratio and which is equipped with a planetary gear mechanism. A torque transmission passage from the output shaft of the torque converter to the output shaft of the vehicular continuously variable transmission is divided into two torque transmission passages through the CVT and to the rotation transmission mechanism of variable ratio so that, in at least one of the speed positions of large reduction ratios, the torque transmission passage through the CVT is disconnected from the output shaft of the vehicular continuously variable transmission so as to not apply a large torque to the CVT in that case, whereas, in the speed position of small reduction ratio, the torque through the CVT and the torque through the rotation transmission mechanism of variable ratio are applied to the output shaft of the vehicular continuously variable transmission. Accordingly, the torque borne by the CVT is reduced so that it does not exceed the engine torque.

    摘要: A fuel supplying device for use in fuel injection type internal combustion engine. The device has a fuel metering device operatively connected to an air valve device disposed in the air horn upstream of a throttle valve, fuel supplying means adapted to supply the fuel at a constant supplying pressure to the fuel metering device, a constant differential pressure valve arranged to maintain a predetermined differential pressure across the fuel metering device, and an injector for discharging the metered fuel into the air horn in the vicinity of the throttle valve. The constant differential pressure valve includes a diaphragm type valve arranged to sense and amplify differential pressure across the fuel metering device, and a variable orifice type flow control device arranged to charge flow resistance of the metered fuel. The diaphragm type valve has a function to detect and amplify the differential pressure across the fuel metering device, while the pressure of the metered fuel is controlled by the variable orifice type flow control device which is actuated in response to the differential pressure sensed and amplified by the diaphragm type valve.

    摘要: A multi-cylinder internal combustion engine having an intake manifold equipped with a variable venturi type carburetor. A secondary throttle valve is provided for each cylinder. Each of the secondary throttle valves is arranged in the respective manifold branch. An auxiliary intake passage is branched off from the collecting portion of the intake manifold and connected to a distribution channel formed in the cylinder head. Each of the intake ports is connected to the distribution channel via a corresponding channel branch which opens into the intake port at a position near the intake valve. A primary throttle valve is arranged in the auxiliary intake passage and opened in accordance with an increase in level of the load of an engine. The secondary throttle valves are opened after the opening degree of the primary throttle valve is increased beyond a predetermined opening degree.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine having a main combustion chamber connected to an intake port for an air-fuel mixture, and an auxiliary combustion or a precombustion chamber communicated with the main combustion chamber through a plurality of torch apertures. The auxiliary combustion chamber is, before a combustion stroke of the engine, supplied through the torch apertures with an amount of the mixture for pre-combustion therein. A spark plug has a set of electrodes disposed in at least one of the torch apertures for causing the pre-combustion of the mixture in the auxiliary combustion chamber to thereby generate torch jets which are directed into the main combustion chamber to ignite the mixture therein. The torch apertures are arranged such that the residual combustion gases produced during a combustion stroke of the engine and retained in the auxiliary combustion chamber are forced out therefrom through at least one of the torch apertures during a succeeding intake stroke, due to the mixture flowing into the auxiliary combustion chamber through the other torch aperture or apertures.

    摘要: A torch-ignition internal combustion engine has a trap chamber formed in the engine cylinder head and communicated with a main combustion chamber through a plurality of torch apertures. An intake port extends through the cylinder head to the main combustion chamber to feed a charge of an air-fuel mixture thereinto when an intake valve is open on an intake stroke of the engine. At least one of the torch apertures is positioned and directed relative to the downstream end of the intake port such that a part of the mixture charge to the main combustion chamber flows through the one torch aperture into the trap chamber during the intake stroke of the engine to simultaneously force out the residual gases produced during a preceding combustion stroke through the other torch aperture or apertures into the main combustion chamber. A part of the mixture fed into the main combustion chamber is forced through the torch apertures into the trap chamber on a succeeding compression stroke to urge any residual combustion gases in the main and trap chambers toward the inner part of the trap chamber remote from the main combustion chamber. A spark plug is mounted on the cylinder head such that the plug electrodes are disposed within the main combustion chamber adjacent to that end of one of the torch apertures which is open to the main combustion chamber to cause an initial spark-ignition of the mixture adjacent to the plug electrodes. The spark-ignition produces a fire which propagates into the trap chamber through the torch aperture adjacent to the plug electrodes whereby the mixture in the trap chamber is burnt to produce a combustion flame which spurts through all the torch apertures into the main combustion chamber to form strong torch jets for the torch-ignition of the mixture in the main combustion chamber.

    摘要: An exhaust gas purification apparatus for a vehicle in which exhaust gases from an internal combustion engines are subject to a catalytic reaction in a reducing catalyst bed and an oxidizing catalyst bed to remove nitrogen oxides and combustible constituents in the engine exhaust gases. In the device, the reducing catalyst bed and oxidizing catalyst bed are disposed in series in the flowing direction of exhaust gases within a cylindrical casing mounted integrally to a joining portion of exhaust manifold, and secondary air supplying means is provided when the exhaust gas temperature at a point downstream of the catalyst beds is lower than a predetermined setting. A passage for connecting the joining portion of the exhaust manifold directly with an exhaust pipe is provided, and a valve means is disposed in this passage to be opened to pass the exhaust gases through this passage when the exhaust gas temperature detected by a temperature detector mounted to the exhaust pipe is higher than the predetermined setting.
