摘要: The present invention is a silicon refining apparatus including, in a reduced pressure vessel: a crucible capable of holding molten silicon; a heat-retaining lid capable of being placed over the crucible; and a heating device. The crucible has a lateral outer-circumferential portion provided with a first thermal-insulation material. The heat-retaining lid is a plate-like member made of carbon felt and provided with a carbon composite material at least on opposed main surfaces. The heat-retaining lid has opposed main surfaces with an opening formed to extend therethrough. The carbon composite material on the main surface of the heat-retaining lid on the crucible side is so placed as to cover an upper surface of the first thermal-insulation material when the heat-retaining lid is placed at an upper surface of the crucible.

摘要: The invention provides a facsimile apparatus that includes: a receiving section that receives facsimile data; a print head that discharges ink from nozzles so as to print out an image; a cleaning unit that cleans the nozzles of the print head; and a controlling section that controls the operations of the print head and the cleaning unit. In such a configuration of the facsimile apparatus according to an aspect of the invention, the controlling section commands the print head to perform facsimile printing by means of the received facsimile data only after the execution of nozzle-cleaning operations, which are executed by the cleaning unit under the control of the controlling section, if it is judged on the basis of the print image resolution of the received facsimile data that the execution of the nozzle-cleaning operations is necessary.

摘要: The ride comfort and driving performance of a pneumatic tire 11 are improved while maintaining the high-speed durability and steering stability, in which an inclination angle A of steel cords 26, 27 in all belt plies 24, 25 constituting a belt layer 23 is not less than 45° with respect to an equator S of the tire, and a belt reinforcing layer 35 embedded with reinforcing cords substantially in parallel to the equator S is arranged between a belt layer 23 and a carcass layer 18, whereby an out-of-plane bending rigidity of the belt layer 23 in a circumferential direction can be lowered to make a longitudinal spring constant of the pneumatic tire 11 and uniformize the diameter of the belt reinforcing layer 35, and further a deformation amount of a tread portion 15 having a high bending rigidity can be made small.

摘要: A relay comprises a base block having a supporting stud at the center thereof, an H-shaped armature block having a pair of armatures and a coupling member providing a hole at the center thereof, and a U-shaped core having two magnetic pole legs. The H-shaped armature block is rotatably mounted on the base block by inserting the supporting stud thereof into the hole of the armature block. The U-shaped core is mounted on the base block by fixing the legs thereto so that the magnetic pole faces of the legs oppose the armatures.

摘要: A heat generating agent for medical waste sterilization. The agent is at least one compound selected from calcium oxide, calcined dolomite, and magnesium oxide, and at least one compound selected from sulfamic acid, sodium bisulfate, and anhydrous phosphoric acid. The present invention also provides a method for sterilizing medical wastes. The method includes the steps of subjecting medical waste to exothermic reaction between water and a heat generating agent selected from calcium oxide and calcined dolomite or to exothermic reaction between iron powder and oxygen to generate reaction heat and/or alkalinity by the exothermic reaction. The present invention provides an aparatus to be used according to the method mentioned above. The apparatus is constructed essentially of a partition for partitioning the container into the housing for housing medical waste and a housing for the exothermic reaction, contact for contacting the first exothermic material to the second exothermic material to react the first exothermic material with the second exothermic material, and a passage passing through the partition when the first exothermic material reacts with the second exothermic material.
