    摘要: A cleaning machine for cleaning a surface is provided. The cleaning machine includes a base assembly that moves along the surface and a liquid distribution system associated with the base assembly for distributing the cleaning solution to the cleaning surface. A suction nozzle assembly is mounted to the base assembly and includes a front nozzle portion and a rear nozzle portion. The front nozzle portion defines a fluid flow path having an inlet opening and an outlet opening and the rear nozzle portion defines a fluid flow path having an inlet opening and an outlet opening. A suction source is in fluid communication with the suction nozzle for applying suction to draw the cleaning solution and dirt from the surface and through the suction nozzle assembly. The fluid flow path of the front nozzle portion is closed in response to the base assembly moving in one of the forward direction and rear direction. The fluid flow path of the rear nozzle portion is closed in response to the base assembly moving in other one of the forward and rear direction.

    摘要: The present invention relates generally to process control systems and devices and, more particularly, to an apparatus for and a method of implementing redundant controller synchronization for bump-less failover during normal and mismatch conditions at the redundant controllers. The redundant controllers are configured to transmit state information of the process control areas of the primary controller to the backup controller that is necessary for synchronizing the redundant controllers but is not typically transmitted to other devices during the performance of process control functions. Synchronization messages are transmitted from the primary controller to the backup controller each time one of the control areas executes to perform process control functions. In other aspects, the redundant controllers are configured to determine state information at the backup controller from other process control network information during a fallover of the primary controller where a mismatch condition exists between the control areas of the two controllers during the downloading of reconfigurations, and to initialize the backup controller at startup when the mismatch condition exists.

    摘要: The present invention provides Schottky-like and ohmic contacts comprising metal oxides on zinc oxide substrates and a method of forming such contacts. The metal oxide Schottky-like and ohmic contacts may be formed on zinc oxide substrates using various deposition and lift-off photolithographic techniques. The barrier heights of the metal oxide Schottky-like contacts are significantly higher than those for plain metals and their ideality factors are very close to the image force controlled limit. The contacts may have application in diodes, power electronics, FET transistors and related structures, and in various optoelectronic devices, such as UV photodetectors.

    摘要: There is disclosed a method for determining the identity of one or more mutations or single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in a genome, comprising: a contacting a sample genome, under conditions which permit template dependant oligonucleotide ligation, with a plurality of different oligonucleotide molecules which comprise (i) a first set of oligonucleotides each comprising a sequence of nucleotides that is complementary to a region on said genome that includes a known SNP site and which oligonucleotides are complementary to said region other than at a base at or near the 5′ end of said oligonucleotides that is to be tested for complementarity to a base at the SNP site, each of said oligonucleotides comprising a unique label to identify both the base to be tested and the position of the SNP to be scored, (ii) a second set of oligonucleotides each comprising a sequence of nucleotides complementary to a region on said target genome for hybridisation with said target genome adjacent the 5′ end of an oligonucleotide of said first oligonucleotide set, and a surface capture moiety, a phosphate moiety being located at any of either the 5′ end of said first set of oligonucleotides or the 3′ end of said second set of oligonucleotides, any resulting ligated oligonucleotide being immobilised on a solid support via the surface capture moiety, b. analysing said solid support for the identity of one or more of said unique labels and comparing the defined bases in any of said immobilised oligonucleotides to those of the reference one or more SNPs.

    摘要: A cleaning apparatus for cleaning a surface is disclosed. The cleaning apparatus includes a base portion for movement along a surface and a handle pivotally connected to the base portion. The apparatus further includes a solution tank for supplying a flow of cleaning solution to the surface. The solution tank is removably mounted to the handle. The apparatus further includes a recovery tank removably mounted one of the handle and the base portion and a suction nozzle secured to the base portion and in fluid communication with the recovery tank. The apparatus still further includes a suction source in fluid communication with the suction nozzle for generating suction to draw dirt and liquid through the suction nozzle and into the recovery tank and a tank carrying handle fixedly secured to the solution tank. The apparatus yet further includes a latch pivotally connected to the tank carrying handle and releasably connected to the handle for releasably latching the solution tank to the handle. Simultaneously grasping the latch and the tank carrying handle unlatches the solution tank from the handle.
