摘要: Concept-based ranking is applied to the results of a search process. Concept-based ranking relies on the input query, that produced the search results, having pinnacle concept properties specified for some of its keyword-based search terms. For each record “r” of a search result, it can be assigned a concept-based ranking score as follows. For each query term “QT,” of the input query, the following can be performed. The set of occurrences of “QT,” in the record, can be determined. Based upon the pinnacle concept of “QT,” and certain characteristics of the set of occurrences, a value can be assigned to “QT.” Characteristics, of the set of occurrences, can include the type of pinnacle concept asserted by at least one sub-unit of the record in which there is an occurrence. Once each “QT” has been assigned a value, such values can be combined to produce a score for ranking the record.

摘要: Techniques are presented for producing demographics, in an automated fashion, from a search result of computer-accessible content. While the demographics can be determined for a research product that has been produced by any technique, they are particularly useful when applied to an automated frame-based search approach. Frame-based search engines are presented for technology profiling, healthcare-related search and brand research. Determination of a demographic proceeds at two levels: member and population. At the member level, a demographic characteristic can be determined applicable with either total or partial certainty. Each value assigned by a demographic, to a population member, has a confidence level associated with it and the assignments can be represented by a Confidence Distribution. Summarization of a demographic, at the population level, depends upon whether the certainty assignments, at the member level, are total or partial. Declarant Demographics are presented. Approaches, to determining Declarant Demographics, are presented.

摘要: Layout processing techniques have been described that allow processing of structured documents to be conducted, and for associated layout to be accomplished in a sequential manner. The layout process is split into multiple, smaller steps that can be executed sequentially. In at least some embodiments, a layout builder is utilized in conjunction with a stack to control layout execution on respective levels of the structural hierarchy of a structured document. Immutable data structures are utilized and allow for parallel execution of sequential layout operations. In at least some embodiments, partial execution of the layout sequence can be performed to produce usable data.

摘要: A method of producing enzyme granulates, enzyme granulates produced By the method, and the use thereof in formulations is provided, for example, for animal feed, foodstuffs, washing agents, rinsing agents or for pharmaceutical uses. The enzyme granulates have a high relative proportion of active enzyme, particular particle size, good shelf life, particularly small rounding factors and/or low residual moisture proportion, and further specific properties. The production of the enzyme granulates is achieved by linking of the thermal conditions in the injection zone and temperature conditions in the remainder of the apparatus. This is achieved by introduction of heated process gasses for drying exclusively in the injection zone. The secure introduction of articles into the injection zone is achieved by the specific geometric arrangement of the apparatus using gravity. The absolute value for enzyme activity of the enzyme granulates can be controlled by the addition of particles as seed material for the granules.

摘要: Disclosed are method and apparatus for registering multiple sensors collecting data from multiple objects. Sensor registration is decomposed into a two-step procedure. The first step corrects systematic errors. The second step assigns objects measured by one sensor to objects measured by a second sensor. Systematic errors are corrected by generating the global minimum of a systematic error function. One embodiment for generating the global minimum uses a Continuous Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure.
