Abstract:
A system for measuring dimensions and/or other internal properties of a shoe, garment or other object of interest is described. The system includes a fixture having a measurement tip. When the tip is placed inside of the object of interest, a processor collects positional data from the fixture to develop a three-dimensional model of the interior of the object. If the measurement tip includes one or more pressure sensors, the processor may collect pressure data and use the pressure data to include stretch properties in the three-dimensional model.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for cutting and sealing a moving length of a fabric by heating, sealing, and finally cutting the fabric in a linear process to form an even, fused edge. The fabric undergoes a sequence of manipulations efficacious for cutting and sealing the fabric to a desired pattern and edge width. The method and apparatus help to minimize frayed edges on the fabric by bonding and fusing the fibers prior to cutting. The fabric is initially drawn through the apparatus in a predetermined pattern, such as a window blind. A heating portion directs a hot gas onto a section of the fiber desired for creating the edges. The heated section is compressed under a seal, which helps fuse perpendicular and parallel cross sections of fibers. The newly sealed section is then immediately cut with a cutting portion to form at least one fused edge.

A system and method for enhanced automatic monoimaging. Embodiments of the present invention are operable for configuring a first camera based on a configuration determination by a second camera. The method includes capturing a first image with the first camera and determining an optical configuration based on an optical measurement performed by a second camera. In one embodiment, the second camera comprises a lower resolution sensor than a sensor of the first camera. The method further includes sending the optical configuration from the second camera to the first camera and adjusting a configuration of the first camera based on the optical configuration. The method further includes capturing a second image with the first camera. The first image and the second image may be preview images.

A system and method for stereoscopic image capture. The method includes capturing a first image with a first camera and capturing a second image with a second camera. The second camera comprises a lower resolution sensor than a sensor of the first camera. The method further includes determining a third image based on adjusting the first image to a resolution of the lower resolution sensor of the second camera and generating a stereoscopic image comprising the second image and the third image.
Abstract:
A fight analysis system to objectively determine the quality and quantity of strikes in a fight. In one exemplary embodiment, one fighter wears a receiving module having a plurality of passive RFID tags at different locations that are read by a striking module (e.g., a knife) when the striking module lands on, or comes in proximity to, the receiving module, to provide the location of a strike. Force sensors in the striking module enable determination of the type and force of a landed strike. A graphical user interface module displays information gathered by the fight analysis system.

An example patient information viewer timeline includes a timeline arranged to provide a longitudinal visualization of a patient's record. The timeline provides visual indicators of clusters of patient encounters. The timeline expands to provide further detail on a patient encounter based on user input. The timeline includes a plurality of graphical indicators along the timeline, each graphical indicator corresponding to a patient encounter. The timeline includes a slider to facilitate user navigation along the timeline to view patient encounters. The timeline includes a scroll line associated with the slider to indicate a subset of patient encounters currently viewable in a detail view area of the timeline. The scroll line and associated detail view area are scalable based on available display real estate. The detail view area provides an expanded view of one or more encounters corresponding to a time period in the timeline encompassed by the scroll line.

A folding stroller of the present invention includes four struts, two sliding members, a fore double bar linkage, an aft double bar linkage and two linking bars. The sliding members are slidably disposed on one of the struts separately. The aft double bar linkage includes two aft bars. The fore double bar linkage includes two fore bars. The aft bars, the fore bars and the linking bars are separately pivotally connected one of the sliding member to one of the struts. As such, users may fold or unfold the folding stroller easily by moving the sliding members.
