摘要： A method and system for analyzing and marking a film include determining color conditions which define colors compatible with a proposed mark, retrieving a number of consecutive frames to be marked, and determining potential marking areas within an image of each frame of the film. The color components associated with each potential marking area are analyzed to generate color values, and the color values of each of the potential marking areas are compared with the respective color conditions for determining ideal marking areas. Actual marking locations in the film are determined from the determined ideal marking areas.

A scripting mechanism is configured to determine when and where the watermark image files are displayed during the presentation. The watermark image files include a combination of null and non-null watermark images unique to a given projector and rendered in accordance with the scripting mechanism during a rendering of a digital presentation such that the watermark images and their temporal placement identifies the projector rendering the presentation.

摘要： A system and method for marking, coding and tracking a film print in an efficient, adaptive and customized manner for providing unique and robust identification of each individual film print and for facilitating accurate tracking of the origin of a pirated copy is described herein. A film print to be marked is calibrated and provided in computer-readable form for input to a prescreening device. The calibrated film print is reviewed and ideal locations on each frame of the film print are chosen for applying a mark. A unique coding scheme is generated for each desired print. If a pirate copy is found, all marks are located and a matching serial number (e.g., coding scheme) is determined for the pirated copy based on marks found in the pirate copy when compared to a database storing film print mark information generated during the marking and coding process.

In the present invention, sufficient metadata is created at the time of the creation of the original video content to both describe objects/areas in the original video that are available for integration of alternate images/video and to provide a means of controlling the alternate video capture and processing to fit the alternate image/video into the areas in the original video defined as available for integration of alternate image/video. The result is a mechanism whereby personal/alternate video/images may be integrated with existing video content, such as in one embodiment, music videos (e.g., video Karaoke), games, broadcast video, DVD videos, and the like, in real time.

摘要： A minimal level of interoperability for exchanging audio/video (A/V) content and associated control between common consumer electronic (CE) devices is defined. This interoperability is based on the IEEE 1394 serial bus for the physical and link layers and makes use of AV/C or CAL as the control language. This invention provides for reducing the number of remote controls that the user might need by allowing remote control commands to always be received by a controlling device (e.g., digital television) and then routed to the appropriate peripheral device (e.g. digital VCR) after translation into a universal format.
