    摘要: A transverse-wave logging tool consists of a plurality of sets of transducers mounted around a cylindrical mandrel. The transducer active faces are characterized by two orthogonal dimensions, one of which dimensions is a half-wavelength long relative to the acoustic excitation energy applied to a transmitter transducer and the transverse-wave formation velocity. Receiver transducers detect converted-compressional waves resulting from transverse waves that were generated by the acoustic excitation energy.

    摘要: A latch device including a latch strike retention assembly adapted for press-fit insertion into a panel opening and retention within the panel opening upon melting of any plastic components. The latch strike retention assembly includes a generally “U” shaped spring member having spring legs operatively connected to bushings arranged in converging opposing relation to one another and adapted to engage and retain a strike member disposed in opposing relation to the strike retention assembly. The spring member is held within a bracket member of substantially “U” shaped cross section. The bracket member is disposed in transverse orientation to the spring member.

    摘要: Use of noble metal alloy catalysts, such as PtCo, as the cathode catalyst in solid polymer electrolyte fuel cells can provide enhanced performance at low current densities over that obtained from the noble metal itself. Unfortunately, the performance at high current densities has been relatively poor. However, using a specific bilayer cathode construction, in which a noble metal/non-noble metal alloy layer is located adjacent the cathode gas diffusion layer and a noble metal layer is located adjacent the membrane electrolyte, can provide superior performance at all current densities.
