摘要: A recording apparatus including an apparatus body having a front section on the operator's side and a rear section remote from the operator's side, a medium feeding device supported by the apparatus body, for feeding a substantially transparent recording medium along a predetermined feed path defining a boundary between the front and rear sections, such that one of opposite surfaces of the medium faces the operator's side, a recording device disposed in the rear section of the apparatus body, for recording an image on the other surface of the medium, and a control device for controlling the recording device such that the image is laterally reversed as viewed in a first direction from the recording device toward the above-indicated other surface of the medium, with respect to a nominal desired image as viewed in a second direction from the front section toward the one surface of the medium, whereby the laterally reversed image is seen as the nominal desired image when viewed in the second direction.

摘要: A feeding device for feeding a recording medium having a predetermined printing area on one of its opposite surfaces. The printing area extends in a printing direction. The feeding device includes a pair of feed rollers which holds the medium therebetween in rolling contact with the opposite surfaces of the medium. At least one of the pair of feed rollers is driven so as to rotate about an axis perpendicular to the printing direction, to feed the medium in the printing direction. One of the feed rollers which contacts the above-indicated one surface of the medium has an outer circumferential surface which includes a small-diameter portion whose diameter is smaller than that of the other portions. The small-diameter portion is aligned with the printing area in a direction of width of the medium perpendicular to the printing direction, so that the small-diameter portion is prevented from contacting the printed image. The feed rollers may be replaced by a platen roller of a printer. The platen roller is rotated about an axis perpendicular to the printing direction, and cooperates with a print head of the printer to hold and feed the recording medium such that the platen roller and the print head contact the opposite surfaces of the medium. This arrangement also protects the printed image from an adverse influence by a feeding action of the feeding device.

摘要: A bed for a patient having a bed pan mounting recess bored at its central position wherein a bed pan is supported at a level in conformity with a degree of depression of the periphery of said recess such that the buttocks of a patient never strongly touch the pan seat. The bed pan has a hollow front cover which broadly covers around an excretory organ, and only the periphery of said front cover comes into intimate contact with the skin of the patient ranging from the groins up to the lower abdomen whereby the pan seat and the front cover are disposed so as to interpose the body of the patient therebetween.

摘要: The bus line of an electric power system is connected to an inverter which can be placed in a forward operation mode or in a reverse operation mode, and batteries are connected to the inverter to store the dc energy thereof. When a commercial power source is normal, an ac switch is closed, so that the inverter is placed in the forward operation mode to perform an active filter operation for eliminating harmonic current and reactive current. When necessary, the batteries are charged, and the inverter is placed in the reverse operation mode to perform a peak cut power generation. At loss of the commercial power source or momentary drop of the supply voltage, the switch is opened so that the inverter is placed in the reverse operation mode to perform an UPS operation (emergency power generation). Hence, electric power is supplied without interruption to an important load and the emergency load.

摘要: A tire uniformity measuring instrument which does not suffer from a temperature drift and assures accurate measurement of uniformity of a tire. The instrument includes a spindle to which a tire is removably mounted for coaxial integral rotation, a holder, a bearing for supporting the spindle for rotation around the spindle axis, and a driven drum supported for rotation around a fixed axis parallel to the axis of the spindle. The holder is movable in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the spindle until a tire connected to the spindle is contacted with the drum to allow the tire to be rotated by the drum when the drum is driven to rotate. A detector is held on the holder for measuring uniformity of a tire fixed to the spindle when the tire is rotated by the drum. The holder has a cooling water passage formed therein in the proximity of the bearing, and cooling water is circulated in the cooling water passage in the holder and cools the holder and the bearing.
