A touch position detector detects the user's touch position on the touch panel. The user's touch position is converted to a touch position in a world coordinate system using a position information of the touch position detector in the world coordinate system. A half-line connecting the touch position and a view position of the user is generated in the world coordinate system. It is decided whether the half-line crosses the object using a position information of the object in the world coordinate system.

The capturing condition is changed by, e.g., increasing a distance for capturing an image until an image can be captured, and even a plurality of users with different ways of use can use the apparatus without setting again the capturing conditions for the different ways of use.
