Abstract:
A specialized eyewear hinge and attachment device for creating a tool-less eyewear arm changeout system and creating the possibility of turning sunglasses into goggles quickly and easily. The specialized hinge and mating system for eyewear allows for rapid changes of either eyewear stems, the conversion of an eyeglass into a goggle, and/or allows the improved living hinge system to apply an inward pressure which allows for a more secure eyewear fit. The specialized mating system of the hinge to the frame utilizes a pliable hinge material with female apertures to mate with a rigid male protrusion portion on the eyewear frame and stems.
