摘要: A catalyst layer-supporting substrate includes a substrate and a catalyst layer. The catalyst layer includes a catalyst material and pores. The catalyst layer is formed on the substrate. The catalyst material has a layer or wire shape. A half-value width of a main peak of the catalyst material, as determined from X-ray diffraction spectrum of the catalyst layer, is 1.5° or more. A porosity of the catalyst layer is 30% or more.

摘要: There is disclosed a half-wavelength (λ/2) resonator which is constituted of a micro strip line or a strip line and in which line pattern portions are disposed symmetrically with respect to a reference line, connected to each other to form an L shape, and formed in an open loop shape so as to have open ends. For one pair of line pattern portions having the open ends, base portions connected to adjacent line pattern portions are disposed in the vicinity of the reference line, and the open ends are extended in opposite directions so that the ends are disposed apart from the reference line.

摘要: A support containing iron as a major constituent is plasma-treated in an Ar-gas atmosphere containing carbon gas, to form a region on the main surface of the support. This region contains carbon at a high concentration. A plasma is generated in an Si- and N-containing gas atmosphere, to form an SiN ceramic layer on the main surface. The ceramic layer is placed contact with a rich carbon region on the surface of the support. The ceramic layer is firmly adhered to the support, by means of this region.

摘要: A first blocking layer is formed of amorphous silicon carbide (a-Si:C) or amorphous silicon nitride (a-Si:N) on a conductive substrate. The first blocking layer contains 1.times.10.sup.-4 to 1.0 atomic % of a Group III or V element in the Periodic Table. A second blocking layer formed of a-Si:C or a-Si:N on the first blocking layer contains 1.times.10.sup.-8 to 1.times.10.sup.-4 atomic %. The second blocking layer has a thickness of 5 to 40 .mu.m, and a photoconductive layer formed of a-Si is stacked on the second blocking layer to a thickness of 0.5 to 5 .mu.m. With this multilayer structure, a photosensitive member having high charging and potential holding properties can be obtained.
