    摘要: A mode changing apparatus for a scroll compressor is provided that may include a low-pressure passage that communicates with a suction side formed by an orbiting motion of an orbiting scroll, an intermediate-pressure passage that communicates with an intermediate-pressure side formed by the orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll, a block assembly mounted at the fixed scroll and having a connection channel that connects the low-pressure passage and the intermediate-pressure passage, a switching device disposed at the block assembly that opens/closes the connection channel, and a pressure supply device that selectively applies, to the block assembly, a discharge gas pressure discharged from the fixed and orbiting scrolls and a suction gas pressure sucked into the fixed and orbiting scrolls, to thereby operate the switching device. With such a simplified structure, the gas compression capacity of a scroll compressor may be varied, enhancing energy efficiency of a system.

The device may include a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll both located in a casing, a low pressure passage formed by an orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll that communicates with a suction side, an intermediate pressure passage formed by the orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll that communicates with an intermediate pressure side, a rotating device rotatably coupled to the fixed scroll and having a connection passage therein, and an operating device mounted at the fixed scroll and configured to rotate the rotating device such that the low pressure passage and the intermediate pressure passage are connected/disconnected to/from each other via the connection passage of the rotating device. Accordingly, a capacity for compressing gas may be varied, a size of the device may be reduced due to a compact configuration and structure for varying the capacity, and also a fast response to the varying of the capacity may be provided.

The compressor includes a casing, a compression device having a compression chamber disposed within the casing and configured to receive, compress, and output a refrigerant, and an oil separating device disposed within the casing. The oil separating device includes a separation chamber configured to circulate the refrigerant to separate oil therefrom, a guide member configured to direct the refrigerant discharged from the compression device, and a circulation member configured to receive the refrigerant from the guide member and direct the refrigerant into the separation chamber in a direction of circulation.

The compression unit comprises a circular operation space formed in a cylinder, the circular operation space having opposite ends, a circular vane disposed in the operation space for performing an orbiting movement, the circular vane having opposite ends, a linear slider disposed in the operation space for performing a linear reciprocating movement while one end of the linear slider is in contact with the end of the circular vane, and a pressurizing member disposed in the operation space adjacent to the other end of the linear slider for applying pressure to the linear slider such that the linear slider is brought into tight contact with the circular vane. Consequently, interference between the inner wall of the cylinder and the circular vane is prevented, and creation of dead volume in the operation space is prevented.
