Abstract:
A program causes a computer to function as a document recognition apparatus, having an extraction unit for extracting connected components of pixels from an input image, a generation unit for generating a reference element that is connected components of pixels extracted by the extraction unit and combined elements obtained by combining the reference element and connected components of pixels adjacent to the reference element as an element to be estimated, a calculation unit for calculating a degree of certainty that indicates how much the element to be estimated generated by the generation unit seems to be a character, and a determination unit for identifying elements that seem to be characters among the elements to be estimated based on the degree of certainty calculated by the calculation unit.
Abstract:
An ink for an ink-jet recording apparatus contains at least water, a pigment dispersion, and a penetrating agent. The pigment dispersion contains a resin having a molecular weight of about 60,000 or more and about 150,000 or less. The ink for an ink-jet recording apparatus contains an alkanediol having 8 or 9 carbon atoms as the penetrating agent. The content of the alkanediol is about 0.2% by mass or more relative to the total mass of the ink.
Abstract:
Water and a pigment, as well as a high penetrating agent, a penetrating agent and a moisturizing agent each having specific kind and amount are incorporated in an ink for an inkjet recording apparatus. The high penetrating agent is an alkyl-substituted 1,3-hexanediol or an alkyl-substituted 1,3-pentanediol each having 8 carbon atoms. The penetrating agent is a C1-C4 monoalkyl ether of a polyhydric alcohol, a C6-C8 monoalkyl ether of a polyhydric alcohol, or a polyhydric alcohol dibutyl ether. The moisturizing agent is glycerin and 1,3-propanediol.
Abstract:
An inkjet recording liquid contains water, an organic solvent, a pigment, and a pigment dispersing resin. An weight-average molecular weight of the pigment dispersing resin exceeds 30000 and is 150000 or less. A mass ratio of the pigment dispersing resin to the pigment in the recording liquid (resin content/pigment content) is 0.1 or more and 1.0 or less. An acid value of the pigment dispersing resin is 160 or more and 240 or less. The inkjet recording liquid is discharged from a recording head of the inkjet recording device. Even when nozzles of the recording head become clogged due to drying or thickening of the inkjet recording liquid, the nozzle clogging can be easily resolved with a purge operation and wiping operation of the recording head by a wipe unit. Thus, it is possible to reduce an overconsumption of the recording liquid due to the foregoing purge operation.
Abstract:
A document recognizing apparatus includes a display control unit which displays a document data including a character string related to a character string selected by a user, and an area that includes at least a character string of the document data.
Abstract:
A timepiece having a movement, a substantially cylindrical case that houses the movement, a bezel that holds the outside edge part of a crystal and is fastened to the case, and a back cover that is fastened to the opposite side of the case as the side to which the bezel is disposed. The case has a plurality of movement fastening units for fastening the movement by means of screws, a plurality of bezel fastening units for fastening the bezel by means of screws, and a plurality of back cover fastening units for fastening the back cover by means of screws. The screws disposed to the movement fastening units, the bezel fastening units, and the back cover fastening units are substantially aligned with the axial direction of the case. The movement fastening units, the bezel fastening units, and the back cover fastening units are respectively disposed at different positions in the circumferential direction of the case, and are disposed to a fastener reference position substantially similar in shape to the shape of the outside of the movement facing the case.
Abstract:
A timepiece having an external case, a sound source disposed inside the external case, an internal filter that is gas permeable and waterproof and is disposed opposite with a gap to the external case and the sound source, and a communication opening that communicates the space between the external case and the internal filter with the outside. The internal filter is a porous thin film that has a large number of small holes and assures waterproofness preventing water from passing the small holes for at least ten minutes when in contact with water at normal pressure.
Abstract:
The present invention as disclosed hereby is to provide an apparatus and method for allowing images to correspond to each other and a program therefore to automatically perform or make synchronous correspondence of images. According to the apparatus on the condition that there are OHP files and a moving image photographing a lecture or the like using such OHP files, resemblances between the OHP files and OHP image regions of frame images constituting the moving image is calculated such that the correspondence processing between the OHP files and the frame images can be performed based on the calculated resemblances.
Abstract:
A timepiece button structure has a base having a first cavity, a first button member, a second button member having a second cavity part, first and second urging members, and first and second movement-limiting members. The second button member is disposed to protrude from and recede into the first cavity part with the second urging member urging the second button member in the direction protruding from the first cavity part and the second movement-limiting member limiting movement in the protrusion direction. The first button member is disposed to protrude from and recede into the second cavity part with the first urging member urging the first button member in the direction protruding from the second cavity part and the first movement-limiting member limiting movement in the protrusion direction. The first button member moves alone in the receding direction until the first button member contacts the second button member when the first button member is pushed against the urging force of the first urging member in the direction receding into the second cavity part, and the first and second button members move together in the receding direction when the first button member is pushed further against the urging force of the first and second urging members in the direction receding into the first cavity part after the first button member contacts the second button member.
