摘要: Embodiments provide a light detection system including a detector configured to provide a received light signal and a processing circuit configured to provide a plurality of branched signals, each being representative of the received light signal and each being time delayed to one another and with respect to a non-delayed branched signal, wherein a delay period between the plurality of branched signals is smaller than a duration of the received light signal, and wherein the delay period between the plurality of branched signals is chosen such that peaks of the branched signals overlap in time and to sum up the plurality of branched signals including the non-delayed branched signal with one another to provide a combined signal, wherein the plurality of branched signals differ from one another in such a way that, as a result of a summation, respective signal components of the plurality of branched signals combine in a constructive manner and respective noise components of the plurality of branched signals combine in an at least partially destructive manner.

摘要: An image displaying device includes a micro-LED-array having several LEDs, a controller electrically connected to the micro-LED-array for driving the LEDs such that they emit light, and a lens-array having several lenses. Each lens is assigned to one of the LEDs. Each lens is arranged in the light path of the light emitted by the corresponding LED such that the light emitted by the LEDs passes through the corresponding lens and is projected onto a screen. The lens-array is configured such that, when seen from the screen, a virtual image of the micro-LED-array is formed behind the micro-LED-array. The lens-array is a meta-lens-array and the lenses are meta-lenses.

摘要: A method for operating a discharge lamp by modulating a current signal is presented. The discharge lamp is operated with at least two different frequencies. At first a probability distribution function for a first number of first frequency periods and a second number of second frequency periods is defined. Next, the first number of first frequency periods and the second number of second frequency periods are determined depending on the probability distribution function by at least one random number. The current signal is modulated by applying the first number of first frequency periods and the second number of second frequency periods to the current signal for operating the discharge lamp.

摘要: A method for driving one or more electrically powered light sources, such as LED modules, may include applying a pulse-width-modulated signal thereto having a pulse-repetition frequency and a duty-cycle, the duty-cycle being selectively variable in order to vary the intensity of light emitted by the light source or light sources. To counter the occurrence of temporal light artefacts, or TLAs, the method may include frequency modulating the pulse-width-modulated signal (VPWM) by varying the pulse-repetition frequency thereof around a certain value between a lower frequency value and a higher frequency value, thus giving rise to a signal with combined FM/PWM modulation.
