摘要: The invention relates to a power providing device (2) for providing power to a plurality of power receiving devices (31), a power distribution system including such power providing device (2), a method for providing power to a plurality of power receiving devices (31) and a corresponding computer program. During standby the power providing device (2) is beneficially supplied with power coming from a power source (1) dedicated or adjusted for the low energy consumption, e.g. a uplink port (23) or a shared power bus. The current drawn from such power source (1) (or the power provided to the downlink power receiving devices (31)) is measured and, for example, the derivative is used in order detecting a current increase just when it starts. This information may be used such the main power supply (29) gets started in order to be available for more power demand than available through the hierarchical powering coming from the standby power source (1).

摘要: A system (and system controller) has powering of, and communication with, a set of fixtures using an AC cable having a power line (e.g. a mains live wire), a reference line (e.g. a mains neutral wire) and a data line. Fixtures are at different positions along the cable, each powered by the local voltage difference between the power line and the reference line. A system controller provides a data signal over the data line, wherein the data signal for a fixture is defined by the local voltage difference between the data signal on the data line and the reference line (or power line). In order to compensate for voltage drops, a compensation circuit adds a voltage offset waveform to the data signal which is dependent on the overall set of positions of the fixtures. This enables an increased number of fixtures and/or reach of the fixtures connected to the system controller.

摘要: The invention provides a conversion circuit for converting first signals coming from a fluorescent ballast into second signals for feeding a light circuit via a rectifier circuit, the light circuit comprising at least one light emitting diode. The conversion circuit has an inductor in a parallel branch between the two-terminal input or the two-terminal output. This enables the ballast output power be reduced without significant increase in losses. The conversion circuit is for enabling retrofit of LEDs to fluorescent ballasts.

摘要: The invention relates to a PoE system, which comprises a powered device (2) and a power sourcing device (1). The power sourcing device comprises one or more ports (12) and the powered device is connectable to a port of the power sourcing device by an electrical conductor (13) for conveying the sourced power along with data. The powered device comprises an interface for providing a measure of its energy consumption within the PoE system and, if it does not have the ability to measure its energy consumption, is adapted to negotiate with the power sourcing device whether the power sourcing device has the ability to measure the energy consumption of the powered device and to provide the measured energy consumption to the powered device for provision via the interface. This can make the PoE system more flexible and allow for a single “point of contact” for providing energy usage feedback.

摘要: Lighting systems and methods for lighting fixture location mapping, for example, using a combination of photosensing readings and/or other sensors to identify a correct mapping. These systems and methods may be used to resolve ambiguities that could not be resolved using other processes, such an auto-commissioning method that identifies more than one possible mapping of the lighting fixtures to spatial locations. Such ambiguities are typically found in floor plans that are symmetrical. The systems and methods of the present invention record and utilize environmental profiles, such as ambient lighting levels and occupancy patterns, to match lighting fixtures to their respective spatial locations and provide resolution to ambiguities in an auto-commissioning method that identifies more than one possible mapping of the lighting fixtures to spatial locations.
