    摘要: A blind-mating rocket launcher connector and protection system having a connector, a floating connector member, a cam, a connector cover, and a linkage between the cam and connector cover whereby the connector may mate with a second connector when the cam is displaced despite misalignments between the first and second connector. For the preferred embodiment, the floating connector member has multiple degrees of freedom with a reduced diameter portion and a lengthwise key whereby the connector is capable of mating with an aerodynamic hood of a rocket. The preferred embodiment biases and closes the connector cover upon the connector prior to a plume of the rocket passes the connector whereby exposure of the connector to the deleterious effects of the plume are minimized.

A radially extending member is coupled to the second race. The receiver is radially displaced from the bearing assembly and the transmitter is mounted to a mounting surface of the radially extending member opposite the receiver at a predefined axial distance.

The torque transmitting mechanism also includes a friction clutch and an actuator. The friction clutch is operable to transmit torque to the rotatable member and control the mode of operation of the one-way clutch. The actuator is operable to apply a clutch and brake engagement force to the friction clutch.

    摘要: A torque-transmitting mechanism having a latching apparatus includes a frictional drive connection between two components of a transmission mechanism. The torque-transmitting mechanism is controlled in engagement and disengagement through an apply piston to which an apply component is presented. The latching mechanism will prevent disengagement of the torque-transmitting mechanism even when the apply force is disestablished. The latching mechanism is provided with a controlled release to permit the apply force to be reestablished and thereafter control disengagement of the torque-transmitting mechanism.

    摘要: A clamping assembly for securing a transmission operating control valve body to a transmission case. The clamping assembly utilizes at least one biasing member having a hub portion. The hub portion has a generally centrally disposed aperture with a plurality of spring arms extending radially outwardly from the hub portion. Each spring arm has a distal end that is adapted to engage the valve body. A spacer is interposed between the hub portion and the valve body. A fastener is receivable through the aperture and through the valve body to be anchored in the transmission case, thereby securing the valve body in position. In the exemplary form of the invention shown and described each spring arm is provided with a preformed offset commensurate with the length of the spring arm, its cross-sectional configuration and the modulus of elasticity thereof such that when the hub portion of the biasing member is tightened against the spacer, the resulting deflection of the distal end of each said spring arm will provide a predetermined load against the valve body. The spacer may constitute a supplemental biasing member, in which case it will be provided with a spacer hub, and supplemental spring arms will extend outwardly from the spacer hub. Support posts may be carried on the supplemental spring arms to engage said valve body.
