Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for friction stir spot welding together at least two metal sheets is described. A tool comprising a stepwise decreasing diameter towards the welding end is used. Each stepwise decrease in diameter defines a shoulder. The first shoulder is situated at a distance (x) from the welding end which is larger than zero and smaller than the minimum thickness (Wmin) of one of the metal sheets, and wherein a higher number of shoulders than the number of metal sheets to be joined, are situated within a distance (L) from the welding end that is smaller than the maximum thickness (Wmax) of a metal sheet times the number of metal sheets to be joined minus one.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an adaptive method of extracting at least of desired electro magnetic wave signals, sound wave signals (40, 42), and any other signals from a mixture of signals (40, 42, 44, 46) and suppressing noise and interfering signals to produce enhanced signals (50) corresponding to desired (10) signals, and an apparatus (70) therefore. It relies on the concept of at least one of an attenuation of input signals in each sub-band for signals in such a manner that all desired (10) signals are attenuated less than noise or interfering source signals, and/or an amplification of input signals in each sub-band for source signals in such a manner that all desired (10) signals are amplified, and that they are amplified more than the noise and interfering signals.
Abstract:
A control system providing a universal input for receiving a control signal for actuating tap-changing equipment. The system accommodates virtually any signal voltage level commonly used for control of the tap-changing equipment, modifies the received signal to a desired format, and inputs the modified signal to a controller for decoding and actuation of the tap-changing motor. The system is fully electronic, eliminating the use of electromechanical contacts for control of the tap-changer and providing a flexible approach to monitoring and diagnostics even from a location remote from the tap-changing equipment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing a wood based product, comprising applying an adhesive system onto one or more pieces of a wood-based material, and joining the one or more pieces with one or more further pieces of a material, the adhesive system comprises one component comprising starch and another component comprising one or more polymers (P) containing an amine group or an amide group. The present invention also relates to an adhesive system comprising one component comprising starch and another component comprising one or more polymers (P) containing an amine group or an amide group, the two components being present as unmixed separate components. The invention further relates to a wood based product.

Abstract:
A device (10) for performing work tasks within a work area, in particular a ski run area, includes a working unit (60, 90), a manoeuvring machine (12, 30, 32, 37) to which the working unit is arranged. The manoeuvring machine is designed and arranged such that it is capable of manoeuvring the working unit in at least three degrees of freedom. The device is designed as an individual unit intended to be detachably arranged to a work vehicle, such as a snow working unit.
Abstract:
Flame-retardant material comprising: a matrix comprising, preferably consisting of, at least one organic polymer; a flame-retardant agent selected from metal hydroxides; and a coupling agent forming an interface between the matrix and the flame-retardant agent; wherein the matrix comprises at least 50% by mass of at least one biopolymer, and the coupling agent consists of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate (EVA), comprising at least 40% by mass of vinyl acetate (VA), grafted with maleic anhydride. Electrical installation box or electrical cable tube, conduit, comprising said material.Use of said material for manufacturing electrical installation boxes or electrical cable tubes.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising at least partly gelatinized starch and one or more polymers (P) containing an amine group or an amide group. It also relates to a method of gluing pieces of wood based materials and to a wood based product.
