摘要： Apparatus and method are disclosed for producing a compact strand of tobacco leaves in which the stems of the leaves are oriented predominantly longitudinally of the strand. Tobacco leaves distributed onto a horizontal conveyor in loose, randomly distributed fashion are subjected to progressive lateral crowding as they pass into a narrow channel section. The crowding effects displacement and/or deformation of leaves to achieve the desired orientation and the formation of the compacted strand. The crowding effect and the narrow channel section are afforded by upstanding endless conveyor flight portions overlying the horizontal conveyor and driven in the same direction and substantially the same speed as the horizontal conveyor.

摘要： A sheet (2) is made by the method of the invention, in particular for use for the punching of lids for containers, in that a PE layer (5a) and a polyester (PET) welding layer (5b) of an amorphous polyester are applied to a base sheet layer (4) of polyester (PET) by coextrusion to form the finished sheet laminate (2).This ensures that the sheet (2) is transparent throughout, just as it provides the possibility of controlled delamination by separation of the PE layer (5a) from the PET welding layer (5b) in the welding area only, when the sheet (2) is pulled off a container (1). In addition, the sheet does not curl when punched into lids prior to being applied to the containers (1).

摘要： A laminate for use in packages comprises a base layer (3), a welding layer (1), and an adhesive layer (2) sandwiched there between. The adhesive layer (2) is a hot melt or a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) having a shear rate of 10-150 minutes at 40° C. in a test area of 12.5 mm×25 mm. The welding layer (1) comprises a layer of a polyethylene (PE) copolymer, and optionally an additional layer of PET, PE, such as low density polyethylene (LDPE) and/or PP. The method of making the laminate involves applying a base layer (3), an adhesive layer (2) of hot melt/PSA and subsequently a welding layer (1) in one working process to form a reclosable laminate (9). This laminate may serve as a reclosable lid and exhibits a reduced risk of cracks or so-called piping in the laminate.

摘要： An apparatus for disinfecting and sterilizing dental handpieces includes a treating chamber with an internal holding stub which has through-channels for connecting exterior treatment fluid source elements to internal standard channels in and through the handpieces to through-flush treatment fluid through these channels from a socket end to a tip end of the handpiece. The treating chamber is laid-out as a pressure resistant autoclaving chamber provided with steam generation at elevated temperature and pressure. The through-channels of the holding stub are alternatively connectable through an outlet valve to the exterior atmosphere so as to enable back-flushing of pressurized steam from the treating chamber through the internal channels from the tip end to the socket end.
